I’ve tried on so many dresses at this point and am constantly scouring the Internet for gowns. I feel like traditional bridal dresses make me look too cupcake-y and I’m getting married outdoors in August so I can’t be too hot. Anyway, I love blush gowns and have been scouring the Internet for designer evening gowns in blush. I came across this Badgley Mischka gown at Saks a few months ago and kept my eye on it until they completely sold out of the dress everywhere — not one single dress online. Magically one dress reappeared on the Saks site yesterday so I bought it. I’m not as tall as the model so it will be floor length on me. With a blush veil, and long, flowy, curly hair with flowers in it, will this work as a wedding dress?
On this site you can watch a video of the model walking in it:
This dress has not been available in any stores, just the Saks’ website so I’ve never seen it in person or tried it on. I’m more simplistic and I’m 5’7 so I think this will be flattering. Please let me know what you think! I really appreciate it. I have 30 days to return it for a full refund so if it doesn’t work it’s no big deal. I just had to see it in person so I went for it!

Absolutely it can be. It has a sweep train and beautiful detail. And you want blush; IMHO its perfect!

@mrsplanner: It could be, depends on how casual/formal your wedding is. But just a word of advice, I had a friend who didn’t want to wear a ‘wedding dress’, it’s her first marriage, and she is young. However, after her bridesmaids and MOH took her dress ‘looking’, she tried on a few and really began to realise that if she didn’t wear it this time, they she never could. She opted for a beautiful ‘wedding’ dress that looks like a wedding dress. But it is your day, this dress is very beautiful so you choose.

I think it’s beautiful! If you wanted to feel extra bridal, you could add a sash at the natural waist, or a mermaid petticoat to give the bottom more volume (depending on the length on you), but I think it’s lovely as is! Post photos when it comes in!!
