I can always count on you bees to let me know what looks good… Well I wanted to have some cohesiveness with my bridesmaids, but I also wanted to give them their own choice on stuff too. I figured I would let them pick one of these colors and let them pick their own shoes, but Im not really sure if this even looks good.
I am having a summer wedding, does this look too spring-y?

i like it, are you planning on having the same dress, just different color?
I like it. The colors are spring-y but if those are your wedding colors, then they would work ’cause they’d match your decor. Here are my BM dresses. I am having three different colors on 5 girls.

Yeah, I wanna have the same dress but diff colors. I wasnt sure if I was just gonna have MOH in different color or let them all pick a color

they are spring colors but they are pretty! Maybe switch like 2 colors to something more bright and keep 2 lighter colors

I feel like maybe the blue on the end doesnt fit? Ugh Im so bad with coordinating color 🙁

it’s okay… honestly it just REALLY reminds me of my mom’s 1980 wedding party – she had maids in pastel yellow, pastel blue and light peach.
Of course, those were long loose dresses with square necklines and puffy topped long sleeves…

@daydreamwanderer ME TOO! My mom had multi-colored bridesmaid dresses in similar colors (of course they were hideous off the shoulder numbers and everyone had matching floppy hats).
I’d say if you want different colors to either go with a cool palette (green, blue, purple) or a warm palette (pink, orange, yellow) to keep it from being too Easter-egg-y.

That rainbow color scheme was big in the 80’s.
Honeybear, you said you want cohesiveness, but also to give your BMs a choice. If I was a BM, I would probaly rather have a color selected and be given an option on style, rather than have the style selected and just get to choose which color.
1. While some colors look better on some ppl, than others, I personally find the style of dress has a bigger impact on how nice someone looks, than a particular color.
2. What happens if two fight over the same color?
3. IF you are going with different colors for the dresses, I would go for the same color shoes. Maybe that’s just me.
(But really if you like the way this looks, it’s fine. You are being generous to allow them to select anything individually. I can’t say the same. My Bms all wore the same dress. Although they certainly helped in selecting it.)

I really does remind me of spring and Easter with all the different pastel colors. Maybe you could do the same colors if you really like that but just go with brighter, more jewel tone saturated colors.
Wait a minute, though, your wedding is June 1 and that’s still technically spring! Going based on season now that Ive realized that, I think it would work if you like the rainbow theme. I would be careful with BMs wanting the same color, maybe you could just assign it based on what you think would look best on who or see if anyone has any preferences.

I like the dress they look good! Maybe they can wear the shoe color of an opposite dress!
But if you don’t really want a springy look, try more oranges, reds, and things like that.

Yeah, I could definitely see the 80’s theme now that you mention it… NOT what Im going for hehe. Maybe if I just put the MOH in a different color and then have the rest in the same color.

I like the idea you are trying to go for, but the colors are springy. Maybe try brighter richer colors. I like having the girls in the same color, but different style of dresses.

Those are spring/Easter colors, but as mentioned before, if they’re your wedding colors then they look just fine! 🙂
