Does this sound like implantation bleeding?

I’ve never actually had/seen implantation bleeding, so I can’t diagnose it… But I can say I thought I was POSSIBLY having it this month and it turned out to be early AF.  I’d never had that happen for 3 days in a row like it did.  Sometimes the body plays tricks on us, and I’ve also heard implantation bleeding is a very overblown symptom- most ladies do not (if you ask, people who got BFP and then spotted pink still think it was implantation bleeding— not possible).

I have my fingers crossed for you on a BFP, just don’t get too excited over any “symptoms” at this point!!!

i started spotting 2-5 days prior to AF arriving as soon as I started TTC.  one cycle it was bright red instead on a light brown and the RE told me i probably developed a cyst and that was the cyst bursting around 7DPO.

it is really hard to tell what it is.  FX and good luck

could be anything. Last month i had spotting at 4, 9 and 11 days past ovulation. The spotting on 11DPO was the begining of AF.

You just have to wait and test.

If you BD’d the 20th – 23rd which is approximately 3 – 6 days ago, I believe that would be too early for implantation bleeding.  However anything is possible – FX for you!  When I had my implantation bleeding, it arrived the very day that I would have gotten my AF, and lasted approximately 2 1/2 days.  I should note that it was sooo scant that you could only see it if you wiped.  I knew it was implantation bleeding because earlier that same day I got my BFP, so I paid very close attention to what was going on 🙂

It’s hard to tell.  I had implantation bleeding two days before my BFP, but it looked like the very beginning of spotting for a period.  Showed up once, very definitely new blood (sorry tmi), and then was gone completely without a trace.  I guess it was about three days before AF was scheduled to arrive, so 11 or 12dpo.  It was really, really light though and I only saw it that one time.

Hard to say for sure – test in a couple days!

I’m pretty sure I had implantation bleeding, but mine was unusually heavy (not just spotting).  So it looked like a normal (light) period.  But whatever it was came 9 DPO.  I am basing this on their estimated conception date based on my EDD from 2 ultrasounds- I don’t actually know when I ovulated and I wasn’t tracking.

If your period isn’t due it’s always possible it is.

As other PP’s have said, it really is too hard to tell.  The elusive IB is not as common as everyone makes it out to be.  Really only time will tell.  That being said, I’m pretty sure I had implantation bleeding at 10dpo.  (TMI) It was just a a little pink mixed in with cm when I wiped and that was it.  I thought for sure it was just pre-AF spotting.

Jw1724:  lady, once you start trying for a baby, EVERYTHING can be a sign of your period or pregnancy.

I’ve learned its best to ignore them all and test when your period is late.

Jw1724:  The month I conceived, I had a tiny bit of spotting a couple days before my period was due. It was very light brown and very, very light. Given how dark my positive was a couple days later, I think I could’ve gotten a positive at that point. Best of luck to you!!!
