I think you would need to try them on together.  I’m not a huge fan of yellow and white gold together so I may be biased

I think, the band looks really lovely! I voted for mixed set!

shools164:  I’m not a fan. But I also really don’t like non-matching sets or yellow gold at all. I really like how your original set looks.

I think your wedding set is definitely vintage style. Your set has alot of engraving so I think you should look for a dainty band of a different style with stones or some milgrain without engravings.

Maybe something like this but thinner.

I think the matching set is beautiful, but if you prefer mismatched, the other band would definitely fit the bill.

I think the matching ring looks a little impersonal if that makes any sense. I love the wedding ring you chose. Have you considered wearing it on the other hand?

shools164:  Typically I enjoy the look of a mixed set, but I LOVE your set! Your ering and wedding band are so unique and it looks really good together. I voted to stay with what you have.

shools164:  Well then I think you will be just fine with a mixed set. Besides you always knew you wanted one, so that’s all you need to know IMO. Where I come from, wedding rings are almost always yellow gold and engagement rings almost always white gold.

I love the mixed metal look – and if it sits flush against your e-ring (my personal preference) then I say go for it! But I would definitely try them or something similar on just to make sure that the different patterns ‘go’ together. The matching set is really gorgeous though!

What about a mismatched band but within the same metal color? I think the band you posted would look great with your set in white gold. I see what you mean about your original one just looking like a thick e-ring. I don’t like that either and I’m realy struggling with that myself. But I’m also not a fan of the white and yellow gold together. If you don’t want to match with a white gold band, how about rose gold? It’s a little less harsh of a difference but still noticeable.
