    1st photo.. my dress

2nd photo.. flower girl dress (example)

    3rd.. cake

4th.. hair piece for bridesmaids.. (with black knee length dresses)

5th photo.. converse... (groomsmen will be wearing.. with bow ties and no vest..)

    6th.. flowers...

ok bees, do these things go together? This is what I've come up with so far and I'm wondering if it works! I'm also needing some ideas for centerpieces! and what about the orange flowers? yay or nay? I know i'm a little crazy, but I'll admit I'm kinda anal when it comes to matching?!

I say nay to the orange flowers. Together with the black reminds me of Halloween, but that's just my opinion!

I love it all, even the orange flowers. However I'm from Australia so Halloween isn't as big here (sad :( ) so it doesn't scream Halloween to me. That being said, I think that because it's not just black, but black and white polka dots that it's not Halloweeny at all.

In short: I LOVE it. :)

love the fun black and white! hm. . . are you dead set on the orange flowers? i think pretty much any monochromatic bouquet would look awesome with the black and white.. . pink red, green, yellow. . .but if orange is what you love then go for it! maybe you are going for the Halloween theme on purpose since your wedding is in Oct?

You had me until the converse and orange flowers.

The converse are so tacky and overdone. and the orange clashes with everything and screams halloween to me to. the rest I love.

I like everything but the BM hair flower. With the polka dot dress I think it'd be a bit matchy-matchy and kind of costume-y. I'd go for a plain white flower.*

Also, is orange your or his favorite color? If not, I'd change it up a little bit. Unfortunately, even though they do look beautiful, people will think "Halloween" when they see orange and black together. If that wouldn't bother you, keep them. If so, why not go for a reddish-orange or just an entirely different color, like a dark teal or eggplant.*

*If you choose a different color for your bouquet, you could use that color for you BM hair flowers as well! =]

I think the FG dress is so cute.  I think everything goes together well, except the orange flowers.  They are pretty but they don't go together well.  I think the pop of color is a good idea, just maybe a different color.

Oh, how I just love black and white!  The polka-dots are adorable and unique at the same time.  The only thing I'm not so hip on is the orange flowers as well.  When I saw the anemone's on the cake, I had to go searching for a bouquet with anemones.  Unfortunately, though, I think they're only available in the Spring.  So...instead, maybe you could consider having orange gerbera's since some have those cute little black dots in the center.  Or, maybe you might want to consider a white and orange bouquet with a black and white polka dot ribbon wrapped around the stem.  Just some ideas (I just love flowers)...

Since you're getting married in October, I think the orange flowers a great. If you're worried about it looking a little too much like holloween, maybe you could add a little yellow to the flowers, or even get flowers that have a little more yellow in them... You'd still get the look you wanted without the holloween feeling.

I love it all except the greenery with the orange flowers. Everything else is so streamlined and modern - I would streamline/modernize the flowers by ditching the greenery and adding a fantastic fabric wrap around the stems. The greenery is too "grocery store bouquet" to me - especially since everything else you picked is sooooo lovely and gorgeous!

I love it all!  I love the pop of orange.  It breaks up the pattern of the black and white.  But if you're worried about it being to bright, you might consider a matching bouquet with orange accents included.

I don't know why people feel that the Converse shoes are "tacky" and overdone. I say mens dress shoes are overdone. ^_^

I actually like the orange flowers. I can see how it can be viewed as looking like Halloween but as long as black and orange aren't over done you'll be fine.

I don't think Converse are over done. I have been to tons of weddings in the past couple years and I've never been to one where the men wore converse. Even for those who wear converse on a daily basis didnt wear them on the big day. Now, if you look at wedding websites they are all over the place. I think that is why some people may think they are over done.

I love everything, but I am not crazy about the orange roses. I think that orange can definetley work since your wedding is in October. I think the flowers need to be more modern...maybe something like this.

Thanks for all the comments! These are just some basic Ideas.. I love the orange because it will really only be in the flowers and probably none of the decorations, so I dont think it'll look to much like halloween. I considered green, but I couldn't find flowers I liked, and I liked yellow but black and yellow were my school colors and I'm getting married in a small town, so I think those colors would scream High school to me and everyone else. I will however modernize the flowers, It was just to show the color not the actual flowers!

And for the converse, If it wasn't us I wouldn't do it... He's not a dressing up type of guy ( he does construction work) so it works for us and for the groomsmen who are in our wedding party! infact when we were shopping for engagement pictures..I made him try on tons of shoes..dress shoes.. and they were just not him, they kinda looked ridiculous on him! :) so we ended up buying him some new converse for pictures.

    Thanks for all your help!

I like it. Especially the dress and converse.

I agree with the person who said to try to find orange flowers that have a bit more yellow and green in them to break up the orange.

Also, I'd try to keep any direct black on orange out of it. For example, you could do a cneterpiece like this ↓ with black napkins and white napkin holders.

I'd say keep black and white as your main colors and only use orange for flowers. If you keep it classy and don't do black on orange it won't look halloween.

Defintely don't go with yellow if your school colors were yellow and black!!!  My school colors were orange and black, so you can see why I would suggest something different!!! LOL!

I think everything looks great!  I honestly didn't think holloween until others mentioned it, so I think you're safe with the orange. I love the pop of color!

When I looked at it, I didn't think halloween!  I thought the pop of orange color was great with the black and white!  I also think if the converse sneakers make you and FI who you are- go for it and rock it!

it is all very matchy matchy, theme-y even. If that is what you want, then go for it.

Personally I like the cake/dress/flower girl dress/chucks combo -- the hair flower & bouquet I would personally change, but that is because I have a different personal taste.

Again i this is what YOU want & YOU love it, rock it.

I think everything goes pretty well together, but I do agree with all the previous posts about the flowers. Maybe go for a lighter or darker shade, instead of bright orange. That way you can avoid looking too "Halloween-ish".

I'm kinda surprised that no one has mentioned this, but I'm not in love with the flower girl's dress either. Its not that it doesn't match, and i do think its a pretty dress, but personally I think its too dark of a colour for a kid to wear. So even though it works in theory, I don't think it would best on your flower girl. I love seeing kids in colour so maybe you can use orange in that way too?

I love that everything is so coordinated!

If the orange is only going to be in the flowers, I'm not sure how that will tie in with anything else.

I'd say maybe just do the black and white, and do an all white or black and white bouquet.  I'm just not crazy about the orange alone.  Maybe I'd like it better if you were going to do flowers with orange and greenery and whites. But I love the cake inspiration for sure.

thanks everyone! I've decided to stay with orange because I like the idea of a pop of color..but I don't like any other colors! maybe Ill go with a dark, burnt orange though! you've been alot of help! heres a save the date I've created.. I'm not sure if we will use it or not.. The white spots are our last names and the city and state! I know for some.. its not elegant enough, but I'm not a very serious person, so I just want it to be fun! :)

I loved it all...until I got to the orange. I'm a huge fan of the Converse (but DH and his guys wore them too, so I'm a bit biased). I also love anything w/ polka dots. I do like your STD's, they're simple but way cute.

I think the orange is great!  (It's my main wedding color)  It looks cute with the black and white polka dots!  I would go with a more modern laid back style bouquet to go with the theme of your wedding.  Everything else is young, fun and modern, and that orange bouquet picture is kind of stuffy and traditional.  I think the orange is good, but just not THAT bouquet.

The orange is cool when you pull everything together. There are things you can do to scale the color down...add a little more green, darker orange, add bling. Just be careful when selecting the linen. Take your CP flowers to the linen showroom and test your vision before ordering the color or textured linen if using orange flowers for the CP.

You can add a small orange bud rose in the middle of the current hair accessory for the BMs.

The Save the Date is really cute and I love the pic, it's a little hard to envision the bottom with the state. Just looking at it I think I would like the complete 2011 vs. 11. I understand that you covering it up though.

    Good Job keep it up.

your dress is beautiful. I think you need to move your belt up to go around your waist. My husband says your belt needs to be skinner :) YOu have an amazing body anbd you need to show off that skinny waist! YOu look great but i think moving your belt up will really make your figure look even better! I like everything else!
