I just got back from Joanns and my cat decided she wanted the bag to play with, so I emptied it out and took some pictures of her. She is a nut!!! And her name is Sami :-)

PS: Joanns has the small Cricut on sale for $84 and change right now. I didn't get one because I already have the Expression, but if you are looking for the small one, it is a very good price right now; less than half of regular retail.

    Aww, she's so cute!

Ours do that with cardboard boxes... and Zoey, our "plus sized kitty" thinks she's a much smaller size than she really is. :P

Thank you; she is very needy too.

She like the boxes too, but loves the bags. She sometimes climbs into an empty soda box to play. I bet your plus sized kitty gets in a lot of trouble thinking she is smaller :-)

haha yes! give one of our cats a bag of any kind and it won't be able to leave it alone! however, they shred up plastic bags for some reason so we really only let them romp around in paper ones!

Haha, my cats always prefer the toys that aren't really supposed to be toys to the actual expensive toys that I bought thinking they would absolutely adore them. No matter what kind of cool feathery, cat-nippy, bell rigged contraption I buy, a cardboard box or stray bread tie ALWAYS wins out.

Just make sure not to leave her alone the bag, cats can get a little overzealous and entangle themselves in the handles or panic and get stuck inside the bag.

She is like that too. She has at least a 100 "cat" toys, but she prefers other things to those. She is in my office, so I am not leaving her alone with it. When she is done, I will just pick it up and throw it away.

She is the best. She just turned up on my doorstep one day and no one claimed her when I went around the neighborhood and the vets didn't have any inquiries either. We think someone just dropped her off. She thinks she is a lap dog and she likes to know where I am at all times; just in case.

    YEY! Black kitties!

Yep, both of the ones I have now, as soon as a bag or other crinkly/noisy/"omgicanfitinheremaybe" object show up, they're circling it like sharks til the FI or I look away. Two seconds later, they're in it, making a mess, as usual. Silly kits!

Definately--my cat and I have had several conversations about not playing in plastic bags, especially since she has so many toys. :)  Looks like a good kitty!

She is a very good kitty. She just doesn't like me out of her sight. We have had those conversations too, but they don't work, so I just watch her until she gets sidetracked by something else and then throw whatever it is away.

She does the paper bag thing too when I bring bags from the department stores. It is fun to watch them play.

omg yes!  We call our cat "The Bag Man"!  Sooo funny!  This is him when he first started doing it - he makes whole bag cities and then creeps through each bag, stopping here and there to get cozy in a bag.

    YES !

Hahaha I have a black Kitty too! Her name is Chloe

I really think that my cat thinks she is a dog. she meows the equivalent of a dogs bark, always wants to be pet, held, cuddled, she sleeps with us in our bed every night, etc. She cracks me up!!

So cute!! My cats love all "toys" that are not brought in a pet store... so anything that is meant to be a cat toy - essentially becomes the best cat toys.

I think your kity and my kitty are related Oaskagrl. Mine does the same thing, and if I have the bedroom door closed, she will whine and scratch at the door until I open it. She has to have my bed.

Thank you kitty. Same here. I get in trouble for buying her so many toys, when she doesn't play with the ones she already has.

Charlie, our one year old, loves boxes and bags and anything enclosed. He's gotten into the refrigerator and we have child locks on all closets and cupboards to keep him out. The cutest part is when he hides under something and thinks you can't see him anymore.

My black cat, Peter, is all about the boxes, or anything that could possibly resemble a box.

This last box he's had since he was a teeny tiny kitten. He's fat now and doesn't fit in it anymore. He actually split the side of it, sat beside it and meowed until I duct taped it back together. He doesn't sit it any more, but I can't bring myself to throw it out, LOL!

Yep! Boxes, bags, cardboard. oh and those cheapo pop up cubes that have 3 holes in them that I buy at Walmart. They destroy them by sitting on them.

Mine lick bags, too! wtf is up with that? Nasty!

My cat definitely does this!  I've never had a pet before and a few months after we got her, she somehow got stuck in the handle of a plastic grocery store bag. All the sudden I see the bag go shooting across the room. I get up and she's running as fast as she can trying to get it off.

Of course being a new pet mom I'm all freaking out and my SO is just sitting there laughing hysterically.

I've had several cats that have been fascinated with plastic.

When walmart used to put a little box in their water bottle packages, the cat would wait for us to pick out enough bottles for there to be a spot in the box, and she would crawl in.  It was like Garfield and his bed, but with cardboard and plastic...

Bakerella - we have an indoor/outdoor cat in our neighborhood that's black and named Peter! He's the sweetest cat I've ever met.

My two kitties also love bags. But they love anything that they can move around. A picture frame, a vase, a box of tissues or a pen; as long as they can make it move, they think they can play with it.

My kitty bolts out of the room at the sound of crinkling plastic bags!!  Poor guy must have had a traumatic  incident before I adopted him.  Though for some reason he loves to sit on the tv remote like it's an egg he's hatching.

My cat loves to do that with cardboard boxes. She just likes to grab the plastic bags in her mouth, and then run back and forth through the apartment.

Love it! My cat does the same thing - he especially loves when I throw an empty bag up in the air, and let it flutter down to the ground. He then *pounces* on it and climbs right inside.
