Yes, my dog follows me to the bathroom, but not FI. He will during the day, but he will not disturb his sleep when I get up in the middle of the night. He’s even stopped picking up his head to see what I’m doing.

BUt during the day, and especially first thing in the morning, he is right there. It’s cute, but kind of annoying 🙂

Ours doesn’t go into the bathroom, but she will sit outside of the door and wait for us. I think it’s sweet – she wants to know where we are at all times. 🙂

My boy does!  And not for DH (although he’ll sometimes follow him to the bathroom then come running back to me).  I always chalked it up to my dog being deaf (he follows me everywhere), but apparently I’m not alone. lol I kind of like your reasoning Mrs. Gremmlin  I do go out with him when he goes potty, DH rarely does.

Our pups will sit RIGHT outside the door to wherever we are, the labradoodle is way too big to be that close! He is 50 lbs at 6 months. Luckily the terrier is small still, even though he is a spaz who is convinced he needs to share the exact same sqaure foot of floor as you all the time.

And for good measure, puppy pictures! You would never know he is huge.

My dogs will follow me to the bathroom and expect me to pet them while I’m on the toilet. they both put their front legs on my thighs and walk around me until I may attention. I have tried to ignore them but then they start jumping on my lap. If I shut the door before they get in, they paw and whine at the door, and recently our little girl has started body slamming doors that don’t open, so it’s “scratch scratch, whine, whine, whine, scratch…bam! Scratch… bam! Bam! Whine, scratch…bam! BAM!” It’s hilarious but I don’t want her to hurt herself!

My lab always goes into the bathroom with me. She either hops in the the tub or lays on the rug. She’s weird.

I have 3 dogs, and it’s like a little parade upstairs when I go to the bathroom.  My littlest dog manages to sneak in sometimes, though I try to shut them out (it’s private time, and he likes to pull the toilet paper off the roll!).

@Cory_loves_this_girl:  Our pup does this too! Both of them just decide to go to the bathtub for no reason sometimes. Neither of them like baths at all so I don’t get it.

@Mrs. Gremmlin:  my dog is obsessed with kissing my FI. on the mouth. in the mouth sometimes. he allows this. she is extremely neurotic about it and will dig his face to get him to open his mouth. it’s hilarious. they are a weird pair, those two.

she’s also occasionally a butt-scooter, which is hysterical to me. i’ve had several pets that have done this and i just think its too funny.

she also begs to get under the covers. sometimes we can make a tent for her so she can have air, but usually she burrows so deep we just have to let the covers lay right on top of her. i don’t know how she breathes, but she loves it for some weird reason.

btw, our dog doesn’t insist on going into the bathroom when we use the restroom, but when she realizes you’re going to shower she frantically looks for her bone and brings it in there to be with you.

Our dog follows us both into the bathroom and just lays there til we’re done. If we’ve just gotten home from somewhere, she wants to be pet.

Yes my dog will follow anyone (and I mean anyone) into the bathroom.  Shutting the door behind her will just make her cry.  When she does get in she usually has her bone and will plop on the rug with it.

My dog follows me everywhere. And that includes the bathroom.  I usually have to shut the door on his face is i want privacy lol.

Totally normal.  They just want attention.
