So, Darling Husband and I are currently TTC. However, before we started trying he was ridiculously paranoid about getting me (and the girls he dated before me) pregnant. I mean RIDICULOUSLY paranoid. So, he would always wear a condom AND pull out (even when I was on birth control!)
The other night, we were discussing what we do after I had our baby. He is adamant that he only wants one child so he will probably get a vasectomy after we have a child. I am fine with this. However, he said even with the vasectomy he would want to go back to either pulling out or wearing condoms. This really upset me. Maybe I am weird, but I think him finishing in me is more intimate. While I’m all for him finishing on me from time to time, I would still prefer him to finish in me more often than not.
Is this weird? He claims most of the married men he talks to pull out. In his words, “nothing is 100% and if we had another child it would ruin our lives.” Pretty dramatic, if you ask me. So, what do your men do?

He did when I was on birth control pills. Due to some intolerable side effects, we switched to condoms. But he doesn’t pull out. We don’t really feel like a child would ruin our lives at this point, so we wouldn’t freak out too badly if one broke.

see we’re opposite.. he always wants to go inside and i want him to go outside haha the only form of bc we use is my arm inplant.. so far its worked.. im not ready for another baby right now, so hopefully it stays working!

We doubled up the pill and condoms until we were engaged (so that he could come inside me in the condom).
Now we just use the pill and Darling Husband comes inside me pretty much 100% of the time.

@from_Miss_to_Mrs: What is an arm inplant?

I’m on the pill and he usually pulls out. Sometimes he hasn’t, but we haven’t had any scares.

Vasectomies are pretty legit. I mean, things happen, but it’s pretty darn unlikely. So why don’t you go through a few months of serious charting (with temperature and all) to figure out when you ovulate and then mark out the window of fertility for your cycle and then have him pull out for that week or so and then finish inside the rest of the time?

@ForeverBlessed: it’s a form of birth control where a rod is implanted into your arm and releases hormones. It’s good for 3 years.

I’m on Implanon (the arm implant), have been for 4 years, never use pull out, and have never gotten pregnant… 🙂

Maybe he needs some good information. You guys could talk to your doc or NP next time you go. That way he can see that it would be okay to occasionally go inside. I would be upset if Darling Husband and I were married and he wanted to still wear condoms. Pull out I think I could deal with.

Me and Fiance always use condoms, and no he doesn’t pull out to finish, that’s kinda the point of the condom. If it ever breaks then there is always the plan b pill.

I am on Mirena and my Darling Husband always finishes in me. We want o have child but not for a few years. I am in a schoold medical program so it would be pretty devastating if I were to get pregnant right now, but not the end of the world. The only time he doesn’t is if it is a quickie and I have to go to work or something. I just feel like it stays up there for a while, ya know?

Only on a few occasions has he finished on me rather than cum inside. I feel it’s more intimate if he has an orgasm inside, on me feels like I’m a porn star. Not that it’s not sexy but I love that feeling of us being close the few minutes afterwards.
