He doesn’t carry anything like that.. the closest he would come to carrying a purse would be an overnight bag [which isn’t even close].

I’ve very rare you see man wearing a manbag around here.. maybe it’s just our area. The last time I seen it was around 5 years ago, and it was worn by a guy who was pretty eccentric [he wore a white suit jacket and jeans ALL the time].

ETA – He has no issue holding my purse, or getting my purse for me, but I don’t ever see him carrying one.

He would never be caught dead with a purse and I would never want to catch him with a purse! lol but we’re in the farming industry/rural area so anything femine is a definite no-no for guys. I assume it’s different in cities, but the only guy I’ve seen carrying a purse is the guy from the Hangover lol

No murse for my man, but honestly, I kind of wish he had one. Damn whatever weird looks he’d get for it — I’m tired of having to carry all his shit around for him everywhere!

^^^ I’ll add though that to work and wherever else we go where my FI has to bring his laptop, he brings along his Timbuk2 messenger bag. I really like it.

It’s like this (minus the tripod thing attached).

TheGridMonster:  LOL my FI always gives me his wallet and phone to carry for him when we are out. He sometimes carries my purse for me when we are shopping so I have two free hands. He is a sweetie that way. But definitely wouldnt want him carrying anything other than a laptop bag or backpack.

not on a regular basis, but when we go to disneyland, he has a jack skellington bag that he uses sometimes to stash snacks and water. other than that, i’m the one that has to stash his wallet, keys, and sunglasses. in my purse and it’s annoying.

My father carries a murse.  He loves it and lost it in a store one time.  Can you image a 70 something year old man going to the front desk to ask if anyone had turned in a leather purse?  I rolled with laughter, but I think it is very practical.  I saw a really cool leather type small saddle bag that would definitely fit a metro type of guy.  It was at a Gucci outlet, but I am sure other store like Calvin Klein or something have nice modern options.  It would be great to be able to hand my gloss, wallet, etc., to my man to carry so I say go for it.

No, and he hates having anything in his hands which is kind of annoying because I am stuck holding jackets and such. But I dont think I would want him to have one.

My dad carries a fanny pack which I hate lol, the fanny pack turns me off more than the purse tho lol.

Mine would die of embarassment but I think some guys look fine carrying a satchel/messenger type bag.

For example I think this looks totally fine and not like a purse.

Mine has one that he carries around sometimes. It was a gift from his parents, and at first he thought it was weird, but he’s found it very useful in certain situations, like at the airport, and when we spend 16 hours at Disneyland.

He prefers it to taking a turn carrying my purse, which I totally make him do when it’s significantly his fault that it’s heavy.

This just reminds me of that episode of friends where Joey gets a “man bag” lol

Anyway my FI would never carry anything that might resemble a purse. He will hold my purse at the store or something, but as far as carrying anything of his own he sticks to backpacks

I bought my metro brother a murse one year – it was really nice, but I don’t think he ever used it. maybe your husband will be different though. At some point, the tide has to turn. It is so crazy that our culture has genderized the carrying of a bag! And I’m sick of having to carry everyone’s shit all the time. Yes, I have aspirin/Kleenex/band aids/whatever. No, you can’t have any. Carry your own if you want access to a mobile pharmacy!!

If you decide it is too risky, this will save your husband’s back jean pockets: http://bellroy.com/wallets/slim-sleeve-wallet

I wished my boyfriend carried a murse. He carries a brief case for work and has a money clip. I usually end up carrying everything he needs though.

ohnatto:  I agree!
