    Just curious!

I have always said that I hate facial hair & that I'd never date a guy that had it... yet I can't imagine my FI without it! He's had a goatee as long as I've known him. lol he threatens to shave his off & I freak out like I wouldn't recognize him or something.

If yes, what is he sporting? lol

Mine's got just the beard going on. He grew it out after we went on a camping trip just after we graduated high school (it was his excuse to grow it out) & has had it the last 3 years. My mom hates it haha. I love it! It's cute & he looks older!

Nope! My FI's facial hair grows in kind of funny, so he couldn't ever really grow anything that wouldn't look goofy. Which I totally don't mind - I love that he doesn't have facial hair...less scratchy!

Oh I get the looking older thing... My FI is 35, but without his facial hair (from photos I've seen) he looks like he's 20!

lol I think I want him to keep the facial hair because I don't want him to look younger than me :P

I love facial hair!  When we first started dating, he had shoulder length hippie hair with no beard.  Eventually he cut the hair to get a job and then started growing a beard.  I really love both, as long as he doesn't have them at the same time :)  In general though, I love beards.

FI grows facial hair like an 18 year old- patchy heh. I prefer a smooth face, I don't like facial hair or body hair at that- thankful every day FI doesn't have chest hair hah, he's smooth, my sister's FI is a hairball *shudder*

FI has had facial hair for the last 6 months, I like it. He 29 but he looks like he's 17 when he doesn't have facial hair. It's a goatee type thingy, he has some problems with it being patchy if he tries to grow in all of it, so the goatee works best.

My guy has a goatee. He's only shaved it off a couple times, and it's always really weird because he looks like he's 16 without it!

Not usually! Because I hate it, it either prickles (when it's stubbly) or tickles (when it's long enough to be a beardy thing). He actually looks quite good with a beard though - and I don't think many do! But he shaves to keep me happy :)

My FI has had a beard for a few years.  I always thought I hated facial hair, but now I can't really picture him without it.  I think he likes it because it definitely makes him look older!

My guy could not shave for two weeks and still only look a little stubbly...which is fabulous because I HATE facial hair. Too bad the rest of him is crazy hairy...

Oh yeah, my dad has a goatee.....another reason why I"d like DH to avoid growing one. He hasn't had facial hair in ALL of the 5 years i've known him thanks to the army....i think it'd totally freak me out if he did.

I said yes because my guy shaves like once a week so it gets pretty stubbly and long towards the end. haha.  We're in school so he can get away without shaving that often.

@2dBride: *phewf* thank goodness she doesn't have a beard or a goatee :)

Oh and the reason I started this post was because my FI wants to shave his off because someone said they think facial hair look shady. His co-worker actually shaves off all his facial hair when he goes to trial b/c he thinks it makes him look more genuine (in reality this guy is a total slimeball)

Haha I marked yes but the real answer is, kind of. His face is in a continuous cycle of growth... i.e. he is lazy :)

He shaves it all off, then lets it grow out until semi-mountain man status 2 weeks later, then cuts it again. Occasionally he'll cut it off in stages, like cutting in goatee, but there is no consistency.

Lucky for him I can't decide my favorite. When he is clean shaven I think... wow this is nice! Then he gets scruffy and I think hmmmm sexy scruffy man. Then the goatee is kind of cute in a metro way. I dunno!

For longest time, my FI had a clean-shaven baby face.  But he started growing a mustache/beard a few years ago and I LOVE IT!  He has a full mustache/beard and looks so handsome and sexy ;o)  I NEVER thought I would like facial hair on a guy!

Mine's a little scruffy, but only because he's lazy about it and also has sensitive skin, so shaving daily gets a bit painful for him.

He always has a goatee but in the winter he likes to grow what he calls his "man beard". So he's bearded right now but I'm making him shave it off for Halloween.

The only thing I hate about mine having the beard is that when he doesn't shave the stache or the sides of his cheeks, it really hurts when he kisses me & my face ends up getting red & irritated :(

My fiance has a beard and a loooong goatee. He says its because he is a biker guy so he needs the hair to help keep his face warm but I say its so he looks like a biker guy.

@pmerr: my FI shaves twice a day so I don't get a red face or neck when we get in each others personal space. lol I have really sensitive skin & the one (and only) time he didn't shave: my face was so torn up & sore for days! If he doesn't have smooth cheeks then there's no hanky panky!

I have super sensitive skin so after about two days of no shaving I send him into the bathroom to take care of that stubble or no nookie for him. I do think that facial hair can be very sexy on a guy - and stubble too - but my skin disagrees.

YES!  I LOOOOVE facial hair on  a man.  In fact, every guy I've ever dated has had facial.  It's probably one of the first things I notice about a man.

FI has a beard.  Not like a long beard.  he keeps it's very trimmed but it's an all over beard, (a la patrick dempsey).  We met on halloween and i didn't know that he had grown it out for his costume but that was the first thing I noticed about him.  He obviously didn't shave it after that except once the following halloween.  when he shaved it off i found myself not really attracted to him until it grew back in. :-/

I voted yes, BUT - he shaves about every four days. It's just that in that four day time span, he grows a full beard.

    He's a furry beast. :P

My FI's hair doesn't grow very quickly so he'll go a week (sometimes 2, yuck) without shaving. So sometimes yes, and sometimes no. I prefer the no days Tongue out

Boy has general facial scruff. HE has sensitive skin so it really hurts him to shave. I can deal with it for the most part, but sometimes it hurts!

Nope.  My husband's facial hair grows in patchy, so he shaves once or twice a week to keep a clean look.  :)

i LOVE facial hair, but i hate a couple days of scruff. Hubby insists he can only shave 2-3 times per week (w/e)...which really annoyed me.  He used to have a goatee,  but he recently grew a beard!  And I love it.
