That's too cute! I usually refer to mine as "sparkles" as in "I love my sparkles" I realize it's not very original but it does sparkle!
I think my family thinks of me like I'm Gollum from LOTR with "the one ring" because even after almost a year I don't get tired of looking at it!
I think of it as "my shiny" (yes, like "my precccccious!") but I think it needs a name!
what a great idea! now i really want to name my ring too!
when we got engaged we were on vacation in kauai so the whole time i took pictures of us (of course) but also just my hand like "here's my ring at na pali," "here's my ring at waimea canyon," "here's my ring by an orchid." 
@ rasgoola: hahaha, my FI and I always joke about it...calling it "my precious" in that sneaky Gollum voice. Yes, we're weird people :)
Haha yep mine too is "the precious." FI likes to ask me, "Is it secret? Is it safe?" (nerds)
Agh! Rasgoola! I named myself sparkles on the weddingbee site because my ring sparkles! you beat me to the punch! You guys should have seen me and my little sister with my ring the first day I wore it! I was angling the sun's rays onto it to make the rainbows on the wall... My sister and I were so fascinated and my fh walked in- took one look at us and was like "yup- that is why I bought you that ring", he shook his head giggling and walked away. hahaha

After I first got engaged, I took my ring off to put on lotion and forgot it at home. The whole day at work I just thought and thought about it. So, I called my mom at home to check on it. Later that day, my mom called to tell me that "Lola" was doing fine. Till this day, I think my ring has a life of her own.
Does anyone else have ring names?
