Ok, I have a question. I asked the jewelry store where FI bought it and they basically told me that I’ll ‘get used to it’ (they were awfully rude about a few other things, I will not be buying my wedding rings there. He can, I won’t). Does anyone else’s ring leave a mark like this? The eband isn’t tight at all, I take it off everynight and everytime I put lotion on. But it still leaves this marks (rash too but that’s another story). Anyone else? Is this normal?

sometimes a slight one if i’m hot, but not as much as in your picture

You sure it’s not too tight? It looks way too tight from the photo.
My rings leave tiny marks.. especially when it’s hot outside, but nothing like yours.

Wow, that looks very painful! My ring fits perfectly, no spinning or skin bulging around it, and the indentation from it is so very slight, only I would notice it if I specifically look for it. What you have there looks like torture, and I have a hard time believing it’s not tight at all. I would be very worried that one of these days the ring won’t come off. Good luck, I hope you can get it resolved without too much headache!

That looks really tight! Are you sure it’s not too snug? A pic with it on might give a better indication of fit.
To answer your question: mine doesn’t leave a mark like that, though I do have a little pretty invisible callous on the top of my finger because it’s a little loose (knuckles > fingers), and I play with it a lot

My ring leaves a slight line and the skin under my ring is whiter than the rest of my hand lol. But, nothing as bad as yours!

It looks too tight to me.
If your ring is giving you a rash, it sounds like you have a nickle (or an alloy) allergy. What’s your ring made of?

Yeah, I have to agree with PPs that it looks like your ring is too tight. I also have marks, but they go away pretty quickly, and never look like what you have pictured. It’s always worse when it’s hot out.

Thanks! It’s actually not tight, it comes off very easily. I’ve never had this problem before! I showed the lady at the jewelry store and was told to ‘just get used to it’ (she also said the rash on either side was because I had lotion caught under it. Never mind that I take it off when I put it on and wait for it to absorb before I put it back on). I wasn’t sure if the marks are caused because it is hollow underneath. Does that make a difference?

holy crap! how do you get it off?? sorry you’re having so much trouble! is the inside of your band carved out? or does water get trapped underneath the band? that can cause a rash, but from your pic it looks like your ring is too small as well.
Edit: I just read the post you had before I submitted mine- I think it is too tight and if the band is carved water getting trapped underneath is most likely the cause of the rash. I’ve had a few rings do that to me and every time it was because the water was getting trapped in between the ring and my skin. Some jewelers can fill the gap that may help

Once and a while mine will leave a very slight mark or indentation (normally if I’m hot), but nothing like that picture.

Ouch!! does it hurt? Is it itchy? Like previous posts say, it looks like your ring is too tight! What kind of metal is it?

It’s weird you say it’s not too tight because it definitely looks like it from that mark. I get a very slight mark similar to yours when I sleep in my ring – but it’s because my finger swells in my sleep and the ring gets too tight.

Like the other posters, mine leaves a slight indent if I’m hot and my fingers are swollen… It never looks like in your picture! I also wore my ring 1/2 size smaller than it is now, and since had it resized. It fit, but was difficult to take off/put on… And it did not leave an indent like that when it was smaller either.

Mmm not quite that bad. I have a little (I think permanent) indentation. I haven’t worn my ring in almost a month since I started swelling due to the pregnancy, and the indent is still there!
