He may not remember them, but I’ve told him different passwords at different times for various reasons. We don’t feel the need to know and memorize each other’s passwords/PIN numbers though.

There are a few, like the password for his laptop.  Not for banking, I think it’s important not to as I would never want to do something that could create an issue if there was fraud.

I trust him and he trusts me so there is no reason to have each other’s e-mail passwords.  There are enough passwords to remember, the last thing I want to do is to double them!

Pinkmoon:  +1. He knows but whether or not it is top of mind for him is another thing.

DH knows every single password and pin, and I know his. It’s not like we sat down and had a talk and exchanged info. It just comes with the years, I feel you accrue info like that automatically.

I know his and he knows mine but that doesn’t mean we go looking through each other’s stuff. We both have nothing to hide, we use each other’s laptop’s or tablets, etc, etc and neither of us have cause to snoop on one another.

No, neither of us have shared our passwords for everything, but it hasn’t really come up. I’ve had to use his phone and vice versa before, so we both know our phone passwords. I don’t even think about the others and neither does he. However, if he were to ask for mine (atm, fb, email, etc.) I would tell him and I know he would do the same. I don’t judge people who share them, what signifies trust is different in each relationship, passwords are not required in mine. I would actually find it strange if he all of a sudden needed to know them and would feel a little offended, because it would lead me to believe he doesn’t trust me and wanted to snoop through my stuff.

I know all of hisand I’ve told him all of mine, but the only one he ever remembers is my email password (my dad made it ages ago and used my name as my password) and sometimes my PIN. I usually have to remind him of that one though. Hes a very forgetful guy.

Nope. I know his laptop password and can unlock his phone, but don’t have passwords on either of mine, so those don’t apply. Neither of us knows email passwords or banking PINs

We know them, but more as a convenience-when we use each other’s computers and log the other out of FB or email, we make sure to log them back in at the end. He also takes care of our finances, so he has all my banking passwords, and while I could probably guess them, even I don’t know how to access my account online. I keep track of our medical stuff, so I know he doesn’t know his username/password for his medical portals. I think it just comes naturally, and it makes it easier if you need something from your email or something, that your SO can go in and get it.

katielove:  FI knows my ATM password and phone password…he doesn’t know my email or facebook bc it has never came up that he needed it.  If he asked me I wouldn’t think twice about giving it to him, but there just really isn’t a reason that i would need to know his or that he would need to know mine.

I don’t “know them” but he has told me them/ would tell me them! He has me answer his phone or text from his phone so I can occasionally see all his messages as well, and he mine. total trust

I’ve told him all my passwords, but I don’t keep them written down and I’m pretty sure he doesn’t remember a single one!!
