So you have a recipe for a generally well received dish. This is your go-to potluck dish. You make it for SO (it’s the first time they’ve had it–they state this) and they enjoy it.
You’re invited to an event with SO’s family and it’s potluck. SO makes the dish from your recipe, and presents the dish as their own. Are you offended?
Follow-up question: Since the event was with SO’s family, they now see this has SO’s dish and call it “SO’s XYZ.” They expect/request it for all subsequent events that involve food. How do you feel about this, and do you continue to make the dish?
This is not about who is a better cook or who cooks most of the time ONLY the scenario in question.
