Nearly all of SO’s guy friends are married and every last one of them tell SO the following things and it drives me effin crazy!
1. Everything (money, attitude, ect.) changes when you get married
2. Wife becomes sloppy and fat (a-holes, why would they say this about their wives???)
3. Sex comes to screeching stop!
4. and my favorite “don’t put a ring on it unless you want to be nagged at all the time or have her take you for everything you’ve got”-WTH?
Does your SO’s friends do this too?? He just laughs it off but when your sitting her waiting…mostly patiently…..its really annoying! Just because they’re marriages aren’t what they want doesn’t mean they have to try and talk him out of it! Ugh! No wonder why their wives don’t have sex with them anymore.

nope not at all. They only thing they joke about is that he’s the “Last Man Standing”.
lol i might have to use that one!
They sure as hell better not, lol. Not in my presence, anyway. 😉
Post # 6
so by the looks of it my scowl at them when they are ranting about this is totally accepatable!

@MrsFarm0619: Yep, totally. And let them know you can report back to their wives. 🙂

No, they don’t. Not his close friends, anyway. His best friend is married and loves it. His others friends aren’t yet, but they are happy for him and call him “Married Man.” Lol.
But at work (Army) there are a lot of men who are unhappily married and he hears a lot of those things, especially the
1. Fat & Sloppy
2. Sex is Nonexistent
But SO just brushes them off because he knows that I take great pride in my body and appearance, and that well, gosh—I just love sex wayyyy to much for that nonsense. 😉
Don’t let them get you down.

His brother’s do that. I don’t know if his friends do or not.

- Wedding: September 2012 - Mother of the Bride's residence
We were just laughing on the weekend because we were exactly two weeks out from getting married and someone finally told Mr. D that he didn’t know what he was getting into!
I think they’re just being jerks.

@MrsFarm0619: No. Not that I know of at least lol.

Zero percent! That’s a terribly obvious sign of immaturity. I would be more than a little upset.
No his friends definitely do not say this. My SO’s friends keep telling him to hurry up and marry me.
Sorry, but your SO needs more mature friends.
Your SO needs new friends, like yesterday.
….never heard anyone say that…maybe this is a local problem solved easily with a well spilled drink or steaming hot cup of coffee the next time one of those jackals decides to enlilghten someone about the joys of marriage.

Only the bitter ones who are going through a divorce.
