We did buy our own.

We googled ‘drink calculator’ and I think we used Martha Stewart’s online version – you type in the number of guests and it spits out how much beer, wine, and various liquors you need.  We customized it a bit (added gin, subtracted some rum) and did a bunch of different types of beer.

I don’t know where you live, but we’re in MA and the boys went up to the NH state liquor store.  We spent $1,000-ish all together, and had a few bottles of liquor left (1 full rum, 1 full whiskey, a few gins, and some Heinekin and Bud Lights), but her calculator was pretty much spot on.

We would have gone to Costco if we weren’t so close to a state with discount, tax free liquor stores!
