Royal Canin- they have options that don’t have any of those ingredients.  That is what we had to do because of our dog’s allergies.  Our vet orders it for us, but I know that you can also buy it through Petsmart if you have a prescription provided by your vet.

I feed my dog Taste of the Wild.  I think there are a few different varieties without chicken or beef.  It’s on the pricier side (around $50 for a 30 lb. bag), but it doesn’t have a lot of the junk other brands do and he loves it.

ETA- I don’t buy the salmon variety (I think it’s called Pacific Stream) because it gives him horrible fish breath, but the others are all good!

We feed ours Blue Buffalo in Salmon flavor. I don’t really notice any fish breath afterward and both pups absolutely LOVE it. Its pricey though and you can only buy it in pet stores which is annoying and inconvenient :-/

We feed The Honest Kitchen (Embark – turkey)  It’s a dehydrated food, so a lot of the nutrients remain as opposed to being removed during the cooking process.  It can be a bit pricey with a larger dog; we go through two boxes a month at around $85 a box.

We went through a few kibbles before switching to THK, and other than feeding a raw diet, I feel like it’s the best alternative.  My dog has done great while on it – firm stool, no gas, no bad breathe, stable energy etc.

My dog has food allergies and a sensitive stomach. I have tried the following, and they are all good but I mix them up sometimes.

1) Favorite = Wellness simple ingredient –

2) Natural balance limited ingredient.{keyword}

3) Any of the blue buffalo non chicken/beef options

Our pup was having skin issues and so we decided to take him off of chicken and beef. We changed to blue buffalo, white fish and brown rice (I think).

He did soooo much better on it, and his coat is always gorgeous and shiny.

He does have fishy breath after eating, but it is not that bad (more noticeable now that I’m pregnant), it is tolerable.
