I am buying bulk flowers either from the flower district in Downtown LA or from Sams Club because I have such a small budget for our wedding flowers.
However, the girl that had originally offered to help us make the bouquets (last year) is now no longer around. I’m very nervous about now about trying to do them myself.
I know only two bridesmaids and two groomsmen, so we don’t need a lot but I have no idea what I am doing and worried I am going to end up with very ugly looking bouquets.
Any suggestions welcome. Or if you know of any videos or websites that you think may helpful.

I’m getting these little numbers right here:
They make one in a larger size for a bridal bouquet too. I’m planning on just getting fresh flowers and stuffing them in there until it looks good, haha. Good luck!

I hear ya. I’m DIYing mine, but the look that I’m going for is pretty simple and the only truly “arranged” bouquet will be my own. I got a quote the other day from a farm for 4 bouquets and 6 bouts that is the top of my budget. I can buy my own and get much more of the exact flowers I want for less if I DIY.
Check out 50flowers.com, even if you don’t order from them. They have great tips on how to keep your flowers fresh once they arrive.

Have you shopped around for pricing from non-florist places? We’re getting our flowers from a local high-end grocery store, and from what friends tell me, we’re paying about 1/3 or what they paid for similar arrangements from actual florists. A friend used this same store last year, and the flowers were every bit as gorgeous as any from a regular florist, and so much cheaper, but saved the hassle of making the bouquets and trying to keep them fresh. The only caveat is they don’t deliver (at least ours doesn’t), so you’ll have to designate someone the morning of the wedding to pick them all up.

Thanks for all the tips, I will check out everything and educate myself as much as possible. I even checked sams clubs prices on the bouquets and bout sets but even those were out of our budget. For what I need it would be around $600. If I go down to LA and buy the flowers in bulk I can get them all for around $250 thats a huge difference.
Now I just have to learn how to put them together.
I’ll probably end up getting those bouquet holders.
I only need three bouquets, plus one to throw. three bouts, and white flowers (haven’t decided which flower yet) for 8 centerpieces. If we have some flowers left we’ll make extra bouts or corsages for parents but its not manditory.

We ordered bulk roses from Sam’s online, they were gorgeous. My day-of coordinator set ours up, but I was with her from the trial (we made one bride’s bouquet) and it was really simple. She just took off the leaves, cut the stems, wrapped with ribbons, and pinned down the sides with pearl pins.
For the bouts we just used a rose each and some greenery from the flower mart with a corsage pin through it.
I don’t know what kind of flowers you want, but if you use just one kind it does not take a long time to arrange them and there’s not a ton of room for error! We did about 2 dozen roses for my bouquet and a dozen for each Bridesmaid or Best Man bouquet.

@MM423: Thank you that gives me some confidence. I was just worried I would try to do it myself then end up with nothing that day because it wouldn’t work out. From what you said, it doesn’t seem like I can mess it up too badly.
