- Wedding: June 2013
Let me start by sying that this is not an issue for our guests. The Dollar dance is very typical in our area and most of our guests are not only aware of them but like them because of the ability to get a moment with the bride or groom. WE are doing this- here it is not bad etiquette.
That said, part of the etiquette of the dance is to supply a token or shot of some sort for the guest. We are having an Open Bar so that takes out the Shot. In the past it was a cheap cigar… yeah that is out. We talked about bubble Gum cigars but that is not great for well to do guests who will find this childish. Thus I need ideas for tokens. I was thinking perhaps a small peice of Chocolate (Godiva or the likes) but I thought perhaps there was something better yet within the price range. i.e. a matchbook (though useless now since no one smokes- a good thing!) I also liked the idea of mints but I want something nice not just a little Andes. Perhaps you had a favor that was a small token? any ideas are welcome.
Thanks for the help ladies.
