My Fiance and I have been arguing about the whole “dollar dance” idea. He loves it, I hate it. I think it’s rude to invite people to a party and then ask for more money and I refused to have it. However, I do like the idea of having a few minutes with each guest, so I came up with a “Wish Dance” where each guest would give us a card with a wish or a blessing written on it. Then, last night our minister gave us the idea of a Reverse Dollar Dance, where WE give the guests a token (like the wedding favors) as they dance with us! That way, we are thanking them for joining us on our day and not expecting more cash out of them. I love this idea! What do you guys think? Has anyone ever done this sort of thing?
