They should sell to the public. Mrs. Hydrangea bought her square vases from Dollar Tree.
I just went to dollartreedirect.com and did a mock up order and it let me go all the way to the end when it asked for my credit card. It does have spaces for you to put in your business, but no its not required to make purchases. Most of the "direct" websites are for people that need bulk items. I think your vendor either a. really thought it was only for dollar tree owners, or b. doesn't want to order them for you because she wouldnt make any money off of a price match.
I'd have to say that her reasoning was probably b. People are in business to make money, and charging you what she pays for them wont make her any money.
I suggest ordering what you want from dollar tree and cutting out the middle man. They even ship your stuff to the closest store for free and you can pick them up from there.
They do sell to the public, you just have to have all the correct item numbers to order it through their 1-800 number. The 800 number is easier than the website because you can order any item in bulk, not just the ones pictured online. Since there are about 300 Dollar Tree stores within 10 miles, I just went from store to store instead of ordering Direct. It probably would have been easier to just order Direct since the shipping is free.
I ordered some of their wine glasses from their website. I had no problem at all. I ordered them and then someone phoned to ask my loation and to determine which store is the closest. They didn't deliver to a house, but to a local store. They called when the order had arrived and I went to pick them up without a problem. HTH
there are dollar tree retail stores that sell for a buck!!! best find ever :)
Your vendor is full of it because they definitely sell to the public.
Little Fact: When I used to work at a five star hotel, we used this website MUCH more often than you would believe... sometimes would mark up over 500% to sell to the client... beware when putting your full trust in a venue, they may be buying on the cheap and charging you on the steep!

Ok ladies I have a question for you...many of you have suggested Dollar Tree Direct.com as somewhere to find cheap items ie. vases. Now when working with one of my potential vendors, I asked her to match a price and gave her the link to the item I wanted her to match on Dollar Tree direct website. She then informed me that the website for for owners of Dollar Tree's and does not sell to the public?? That the purchasers for the store would buy from there and then mark up the price. It doesn't make sense to me b/c it's a dollar already, and if they are going to mark it up to sell at their dollar store, it wouldn't be a dollar store then would it
Is this true? Do they not sell to the public?
