My Fiance and I are having a marriage blessing in The Church of Scotland (Presbyterian) when we return from our honeymoon (we’re having a destination civil ceremony in Italy). Anyone have any idea how much we should offer as a donation to the church?
I know it’s not a wedding ceremony as such, but the Minister is still taking time out to open the church and perform the blessing. Any thoughts?
Thanks Bees 😉 x

I’d say a couple hundred dollars, if you can afford it. Often, when a couple gets married in a church that neither of them attend, that’s the amount they are “required” to “donate.”

@domestic_cat: You’re welcome! I think our fee is about $250 and we’re getting married in a church in which we’re not members but which our families both used to attend.
