Even though I requested on their website that I only receive David’s emails, they sold my information to other vendors and I have received non-stop calls and emails from photographers, tux rental companies, vacation spots, etc. I went back to my profile and changed my phone number and email to a “fake” one… I don’t know how to stop it!

@azulstar: I had the same problem–it seems that once they sell the information, it’s out there and it can’t be changed except on the David’s side. Thanks to them, I’ve had daily phone calls from Men’s Wearhouse and every venue in New England, even though we aren’t being married here. Bah!

I had a similar issue. I had no idea how all these people knew I was getting married! And since I tried on the dress in Missouri no one could help me because I was getting married in SC. It was annoying but it eventually stopped.

Me too – I learned the hard way (i.e. before I had weddingbee to warn me!)

I also learned the hard way. I got so many calls and emails, including ones that claimed I won something but I need to give them my credit card information and make a small purchase to be able to claim my prize.

Same. I used a fake email but a real phone number and man, what a mistake. They ought to be ashamed.

it’s awful. for that reason alone i didnt get anything from them for my wedding. it was awful to get all the junk mail, emails and phone calls.

Me too. I also “won” some Mary Kay make-up appointment and a vacation by a mystery company for which DH and I would have had to sign up and go to one of their “events” (aka sales shows).

Oh my gosh, thanks for telling me!

Same here. They had my home number, said they needed my work number for “emergencies” or urgent calls regarding my dress… I had Mary Kay ladies calling me at work when the wedding was still 10 months out!! o_O

ditto! I quit answering my phone…

+1. Now I just “unsubscribe”. I have yet to figure out a filter that won’t take our legit wedding-related emails.
