enjoy a short weekend trip right after the wedding to be alone and decompress. Then plan a bigger trip for later on.

We have 6 nights 7 days and we are going to costa rica! There are plenty of places you can still go and have a great time with only a week! I say go somewhere and have a great time! You need a honeymoon!

I like the idea of a weekend trip and then the “real” honeymoon later when you can 🙂

My future hubby and I are getting away for just one night to my families lake house this weekend (not as our mini moon or anything, just because…) and with how busy we are even THAT feels so exciting and like a vacay!

We only had 8 days cuz I started school 9 days after the wedding, and we went all the way from Boston to St. Lucia! And, while we were there, we met 3 couples who stayed less than a week- they did a Mon-Sun thing. You can do it!! Take a honeymoon right after the wedding- it is sooo worth it!! I’m sure delaying it would be great too but there was something so fun about just getting on a plane and leaving, and then talking about the wedding like all week… it was just such a fun feeling. You could easily go to the Carribbean or Mexico for a week. One couple we met who was there for only a week came to St. Lucia all the way from Northern Cali!! I say do it 🙂
