Hello fellow Bee’s….
I’m really finding it difficult to decide what to use/do for favors.
I orginally thought of making “paw print” chocolates and attaching a tag stating that a donation was made to the SPCA (because that is where our beloved cat came from) but then my Mom and I were talking and she doesn’t think I ‘ll have time to make them all because of my super busy life right now so she thought of something different. She mentioned small individual bottles of maple syrup for each guest. That way we would just have to wrap them up and not have to worry about making anything.
Our wedding is in the winter….I’m really torn as to what to choose, I’m even open to the idea of something else……

I REALLY like the paw print cookie and SPCA donation. Any chance you could get a bakery to make them for your relatively cheaply, since you’ll be ordering in bulk? Hopefully for the same price (or less) that you’d be paying for the maple syrup?

The cost of the maple syrup wasn’t as expensive as I throught it would be. We would be making chocolates and not cookies and there isn’t a place around here that would make them. I bought the chocolate molds when I was in the US in the summer. Mom also thought that people could just put the bottle of syrup in their pockets and with the chocolates they couldn’t because they would melt.

I don’t like maple syrup, so I voted chocolate! Plus, I’m an animal lover, so I think your donation idea is great!

I love the paw print idea — maybe you could order the chocolates online?

I love the paw print! Maybe you could do cookies, and make them with a cookie cutter? It wouldn’t take as long at all.

I really dig the paw print idea. That is awesome!

I voted other–if chocolate is too time consuming, try making paw shaped cookies. Or skip the paw shape and just bake cookies as your favor.

I voted other too– I would just put the money you were going to spend on the edible favor towards a larger donation. People don’t need something physical to take away with them, and they’ll probably be pleased to support a cause that’s important to you.

The paw print sounds delicious! And you could surely make them when you have spare time, then freeze them up until the wedding. Good luck!

I looooooove maple syrup, so I’m voting for that. No joke. It’s like, the best stuff ever.

Paw Print is awesome, and really, I’ve used the chocolate molds before and it’s actually not as long and painstaking as it may sound. Cookies would be pretty easy as well
