Don't shake breastmilk.

@eecuadrado:  Yes shaking breast milk damages the cells which contain nutrients. If the breast milk is shaken, the baby will still get some nutrients, but it is better not to shake the breast milk so the cells are left intact. The proper “technique” is to gently swirl the bottle once warmed to help get the fat off from the side of the bottle which is good fat for the baby! 🙂

You shouldn’t shake formula either.  Causes bubbles. Bubbles cause a gassy baby 🙂

If you shake formula it won’t disrupt the nutrients. Shaking will disrupt BM, swirl it!!

Who knew!? I have a 10 yr old DS and I swear, ten years ago- I had never heard of any of the stuff that people warn you about now! It’s always changing! We are TTC next fall so I guess it’s time I start reading up again!
