The work day was so-so, but emails from in-laws have me totally depressed and stressed out.
My husband can always tell when something’s wrong and if I so much as mention his family he’ll get upset that they’re upsetting me! (Which, just results in all of us upset.)
What do you do when you just HAVE to shake something off? I have to shake off this horrible funk before I get home so that I don’t pass on the negativity to him!

I’m sorry, that sucks. Just try to put it out of your mind. When I am upset I usually sing really loud to the radio 🙂

Go for a walk and get some fresh air. Some favorite music might help, too.
My favorite way to lose the bummers is to do something nice for FH. It gives us both something to be cheerful about and takes my mind off the yucky things. Bring him flowers or bring a favorite meal home or something.
Good luck. 🙂

chocolate! Eat something you are totally not supposed to because it always feels so good after and will help with your bad mood.
Letting him see you are upset over this might just make the situation worse, so good luck!!

I work out….it distracts me enough, helps get out some frustrations, and helps me shake a bad mood. Without doubt. Otherwise, a bowl of frozen custard does the trick. But i really try to avoid food substitutes for bad moods…tis a vicious cycle. Cooking/baking does relax me though. Also reading a magazine in solitude really helps ground me. I just tell DH i’m in a crap mood and i need a lil space. i curl up on the bed in my pajamas with my kitties, read a little, and feel refreshed.
Good luck! the funks suck!
