I would own your pale skin, it's beautiful! Just look at all those pale actresses out there (Nicole Kidman, Audrey Hepburn, Katy Perry, Kate Winslet, etc.) They don't have to worry about skin cancer from all that tanning, and they're still beautiful.
@artbee: Honestly, I think that is the answer I wanted to hear. I just saw a picture of Reese Witherspoon on the cover of People, I think it was, and she was pale as ever. Thank you for your wise words. Really, thank you!
@artbee: and in a wedding dress (Reese)
I agree, you will look great no matter how pale or tan you are so I honestly would not worry about it.
@Carolyn72: I'm pale too and just tried the airbrush tan for our engagement pictures - it turned out great in the pictures (they're under the photo section) but I HATED the way my skin looked in person! I will never do that again. And everyone I asked who had gotten it done before said it looked great, but I didn't think so. Also, as it's coming off, it looked like I had discoloration due to something else (I'm in a dermatology class right now so I was especially paranoid I guess lol).
My advice: go natural. You are beautiful just how you are, and your fiance will be marrying the girl he fell in love with in the beginning! Rock the paleness - I am!! :)
I'll be rocking my Casper colored self at my outdoor wedding this weekend :)
I'm about as pale as they come - not much I can do about it. So I just made sure to stay out of the sun so I didn't burn/peel at all.
Be you!
My suggestion is go for a spray tan at least 5 showers before the big day. This way your still have a tiny bit of colour, but not enough to rub off SUPER horribly.
But as far as spray tans... I once got one the day before a rave that is the 'all white ball' and wore a tiny little snow white dress and white boots made of parachute material. Hours later after rubbing and sweating, my dress and boots were stained all on the inside. I imagine a warm wedding would be no different.

I am getting married in August at the beach, which I think is just the "bestest" :)
Problem, I am very pale. I can't tan and have rosacea on my face. I tried a spray
tan two weekends ago, and although at first I was ecstatic that I was no longer a
GHOST, it was coming off on my clothing. I exfoliated very well before going. I did
feel a bit "orange" but thought it had to be better than being so pale. I don't know
what to do. I really don't want to look at my picutes and see Casper standing on
the beach (plus my bridesmaids are my daughters and they are half hispanic and w
have a beautiful brown color by the wedding). What do you guys suggest? I just
deal with being my pale self?
