ashleyhughey:  just being honest i have no real advice. i literally was scrolling and saw your title and was like, “mmm donuts so much yes.” that’s still how i feel. lol. i think a donut bar is awesome! i would have suggested covers, or maybe really tall glass jars with lids for them to be stacked in. then, have some cute boxes or clear favor bags where the guests can choose their own donut or 2. 🙂

now i want a donut. dammit.

Yum! That’s all I have to say. I wouldn’t put the donuts out until right before you cut the cake, though.

ashleyhughey:  yummy!!!! I friggin love donuts- all types, krispy kreme and the little mom and pop cake types. So good! I would have staff prep the table so they can put them out after the cake cutting or right before when everyone is focused on your cake cutting (assuming they aren’t super close together or else that might not be good for pics). You could get the donuts the morning of, then wrap the boxes in plastic until the staff is about ready to bring them out. If you are displaying them like in the photo it shouldn’t take too long to put them on the sticks.

One question though- what are you going to do about filled donuts??

Sounds delicious.  Maybe the doughnut shop can give you some tips on keeping them fresh?

Can you wrap them in colored plastic wrap that matches your decor?

Mmmm donuts! Love this idea. TBH donuts are good even if they’ve been sitting out for a few hours.

I ditto one of the other commenters. I totally clicked on your post because it sounded so good! Like another bee said, check with a donut shop! They may have some good advice
