I think a coach bus is more suited for a formal event like a wedding in Manhattan. Also, have you figured out how guests are getting to the church from the hotel?

I love the double decker bus idea! Are a lot of people coming into town for the wedding? I personally think people would love it. Also there is the option of staying inside on the bottom floor of the bus if people are worried about their hair or weather. I think the weather will be pretty nice in May though. As a guest I would love the ride in the double decker bus, and you could take such awesome pictures in it!

It would  depend on the time of day….I would opt for coach buses because they will be dressed and most women would not want to risk their hair or makeup. I too am having transportation all guest will be given an itinerary of the time they will need to be in the lobby to board the buses at a specific time. My wedding is at 4:00pm and it is a 30min ride to the church from the hotel. The buses will take the guest back to the hotel for cocktail hour and the reception.

I think a double-decker bus is cool, but I wouldn’t sit on the top if I’m on my way to a formal party – they’re always too cold and windy up there. I just did a double decker tour of NYC in June, and it cold up there that day!

I love the idea of the Double Decker, but I do think it is a valid point that people wont’ want to get windblown on the top.

Can I ask what company you are going with?

I am researching NYC transport options for my Brooklyn wedding in Feb!

    Thanks!
