I don’t have a ring like this to show you, but I would only have the diamonds go partway around. I think it’s safer if you need it resized and my mom periodically complains because the she doesn’t like the feeling of the diamonds rubbing against her pinky and middle finger.

This is mine – the center stone is 0.5 ct and the tcw is around 1.25.  No idea on mm sizing.  My ring ringer is a size 5.5.

Wanted to give you an idea of how much that covers your finger at only a half ct center!!  1.2 could be beautiful, but it could also be a whole lot of ring!

I have a double halo with a round center. My center diamond is only 1.01ct but you get the idea. The diamonds on the band of the setting only go half way on each side.

Thank you!!! I am pretty obsessed. My center stone is 1.91 carats but it is an asscher so it does look a bit smaller than a round.  I don’t think a double on a 1.2 would overwhelmed the stone. It makes mine look a good but bigger!

Mine is a 10mm topaz with a halo but the total diameter is about 15.5mm on a size 5 (ring is a 5.5 because I hate it fitted), I love it!

bella829:  Sorry I just noticed I never replied to you!  No, that’s not a great photo of it, they’re just more of the same small diamonds down the sides as in the halo (same size stones).  Since it’s a shared-prong setting (more secure) it can definitely look like that in some photos…I don’t hate that haha!  I wouldn’t mind if it were milgrain actually.

6.5mm center stone, 1/2 pointers in the double halos. I think it’s closer to 12mm across. Size 7
