    Hi all,

I went to my GYNO recently as my DH and I are going to start trying in the spring . My sister at age 30 has premature ovarian failure , my Dr. wants to test my hormones but I have to be off the pill now as it alters the results.

I also have a double uterus, and he said he needs to see the extent of it as I could need to get it taken care of before I become preggo.

Anyone else have this? If so what was done for it?

    Thanks!

My bff has a double uterus.  Way back in 6th grade, they did some sort of surgery on it (but I have no idea what/why).  She was almost always on the pill to sync them up.  I guess she went off of it b/c she got pregnant in October.  Her doc seems to think that everything should be ok with it.  She just might have to be monitored a little closer than most.

    Good Luck!

My cousin's wife has a double uterus. She's had two healthy kids, although her daughter was a bit premature, but I'm not sure if that was due to her double uterus or just the way her pregnancy went. I'm not sure if since then she's had any surgery or anything to correct it, but as far as I know she just is the way she is!

I wish you the best of luck hon!

There was a woman in my birth prep class who had a double uterus.  She didn't even know about it until she went for her first ultrasound after she was already pregnant!

While the docs considered her high risk and did lots of extra monitoring, everything was fine.  She did need to have C-section because of her particular anatomy, but other than that, she and her baby were fine.

There's lots of info on the internet from women with similar conditions.  One blog I've found (with a blogger who is currently pregnant):

    Best of luck!
