First off, your ring is amazingly beautiful!  If your fiance’ will get a double that would be great.  Otherwise, get one now and maybe another for your 1st or 5th anniversary.

I’d say definitely do the two bands if that’s possible. I think its a great look. 🙂 BEAUTIFUL stone by the way!

Such a personal preference. I like the one band look personally, but I know alot of ladies who like the two. I would probably start with one anyways, and get another for an anniversary. But like I said, personal preference.

@sheepy19: That’s uncalled for…

@sqrt09: I also like the idea of getting one now and one later as an anniversary band.

Wow some much uncalled for rudeness..

Your ring is stunning! I agree with pp about one band now & another for your anniversary 🙂 Either way it’ll be gorg!

@sheepy19: such blatant rudeness is not tolerated here.

@sqrt09: I agree with the PPs, try just one for now and see how you feel later. I personally like the look of one wedding band, but that’s just me– I like to keep things simple.

I got two wedding bands right of the bat!  DH tried to talk me out of it.  That was the one thing that I wouldn’t budge on.  I couldn’t find one band that was thick enough to go with my ering.  I considered a ring enhancer/wrap but the band of my ering was/is too wide.  So… I got two plain bands, one on each side of the ring.  I love that it is balanced.  I could have waited for a year until my anniversary, but I didn’t want to spend a year looking at rings that have a look I don’t like.

Here is a pic.  Sorry it isn’t good quality.  I hate that the flash was too bright and makes my knuckles look like I desperately need lotion. lol!  But, I wanted you to see the balanced ring look I LOVE!

ETA:  I got two plain bands because when I tried diamond bands I thought they took away from/competed with the diamonds and design on the ering.

I was in the same boat you are and I have decided to get one band now and another for an anniversary.  That way, they both have their own special meaning to you, if that makes sense.

my ring has a similar shape as yours and I’m going with two bands that sit right where the halo ends.  One band just looked really assymetrical and noncohesive.  No pics yet as the bands are still being made.

1 band only.

if it’s gonna be an anniversary band in my opinion should be a way far off milestone band like 10 or 20 years not like hey, we’ve been married for ONE year… let’s get a new band.

Wow beautiful ring!! I personally love having just one wedding band….but with your ring like some PP’s have said….double bands would look AMAZING and very symetrical 😀 Why don’t you go and try some different styles one one band and double bands? See what works best for you? I cant wait to see what you decide!

I love your ring. and I think one band will look great but wait for the second until an anniversary it will be an awesome gift and reminder of your commitment.
