Have you actually got quoted 5k for custom or just assuming?

My jeweler has a lot of gabriel & co and I loved them!

We custom designed mine, yes it was around 5k, but it is also very, very intricate. I don’t think a simple halo with paved sides would be that much.

The ring rabbit hole is a real thing. I am in it now too. I think you could definitely find some one to do a custom ring for you for less than $5k. I got a quote recently for <$2k. I recently reset my original diamond and ended up with a round version similar to what you like. It turned out to not be right for me. So I don’t have it anymore. But here is a picture Of it.

I think both rings are beautiful and they are sort if similar. I really like the detail under the basket of the Gabriel and co one!

I actually have the same ritani ring! I love it. FI picked it out on his own. I can tell you personally that I get compliments from strangers like crazy (I work in customer service) and its sparkles like crazy. He ended up getting a 1.61 cushion cut, H, and VS1 (he had to school me on what that meant) and said it was hard to settle on the cut. I guess the cut is extremely important to the sparkle? The side diamonds are all same color, same size and beautifuly made. He said that he designed it then they send it to a local store to see before purchase. I guess just go try on diff sizes and clarity in local stores and see what you like! I can upload a pic if you like! Have fun!

Meredith80: Oh, I agree it was/is a beautiful ring. It just wasn’t me.

TheLadyA :  I LOVE that setting! I am such a sucker for milgrain and engraving.

alabamagirl:  Thank you! Your ring is gorgeous too! I’m a sucker for halos. I love milligrain and engraving too. I didn’t want a plain band or pavé so this was the perfect something “extra” as a compromise 🙂

I think i like the Ritani better because it has a more simple design and a wedding band will sit flush under it. The Gabriel & Co is gorgeous but I wonder if a wedding band will cover up some of the basket details. The Ritani halo has a very sleek and elegant look that I love. I don’t think you can go wrong either way, they are both stunning!

This is the Ritani one. I didn’t think it looked so similar to the Gabriel until I saw it in this post. It’s gorgeous as well 🙂   Down the rabbit hole we go!
