#1 is my favorite and it looks gorgeous on you! I wish I could see the back. I’m also choosing this one because you seem most excited about it!

LOVE the first one. the second is beautiful too, but i feel like everyone is buying dresses very similar to that now. i love how glamorous the first one is with the swath of flat satin.

Let me start by saying they are both beautiful, and you really can’t go wrong. Also, I would never say anything unless you has asked, but you DID ask, so here goes:

    I like #2 for a few reasons.

#1 The first and foremost reason is that you mentioned the first dress is SATIN.. My advice to all brides/bridesmaids or really anyone in general is to stay away from satin if at all possible. I was in a wedding last summer, and the dresses were satin. By the time we got to the aisle, we all looked like we had slept in our dresses. Any moisture at all will stain satin. I walked down the aisle with tear drops all down the front of me, and another bridesmaid has a HUGE stain on the front of her dress because she grazed against a bottle of orange juice at the house beforehand and the consendation from the outside of the bottle stained her dress. ALSO, all of the dresses were wrinkled and crease just from the ride to the ceremony. I had my dress in a garmet bag hung in an empty closet for months to keep it looking pristine, and then the first time I sat down it was a wrinkled mess…

#2 I prefer the shape of the second dress. The more exaggerated bottom makes your curves look awesome! It seems to fit and lay in a more flattering way. When it comes down to it, I think every bride should pick the dress for the way it looks on them, not necessarily the way it looks “in general” if that makes any sense… #2 definitely looks awesome on YOU!

Congrats and I hope this helps.

#1 is beautiful and sophisticated (got my vote)

    #2 is soft and romantic

So, you can’t go wrong with either dress. I guess more of which style suits you/wedding style

I prefer the first dress – but both are beautiful…that said, I agree with the poster about satin – after a horrible experience in an ivory satin dress at a formal event, I vowed to NEVER wear a satin dress in public again.  It’s a very unforgiving fabric and doesn’t always photograph well.

Dress 1 Lucille gets my vote!

Dress 2 is way too overdone.

@zoecn:  I originally was going to vote for the Dakota but voted for the Augusta Jones as it’s different and very elegant. You look great in both though.
