Hello my fellow lovely bees,
i got the actual silk flower petals i will be packing to Jamaica! And now i need to decide on the final look of my centerpieces. i have my lovely heart shaped candle holder with lavender votives and and six lavender tea lights surrounding it, and my purple linen napkins…. now i need to decide on the flower petals!!
QUESTION: Do I use….
a) dark purple only?
b) mix of dark and light purple?
c) light purple only?
i really like all 3, so i want as many votes as possible to help me decide!! well i am leaning towards one, but i know i might change my mind every day up until the wedding if i don’t have some input, so please vote and comment!
You can see some pics with the candles lit, but was before i remembered to put the napkins in post #7.

I like it with both colors of the purple, kind of gives it some depth.

I agree, i like both colors of purple, it’s a good balance since the votives are light and your napkins are dark. It blends the two together well.

I agree- the mix of dark and light is beautiful and adds depth.

here are some pics with no napkins, but the candles are lit:

I love it with the mix. I think just the purple petals doesn’t help it stand out enough against the napkins. Just the light purple is too pastely.

I prefer the look of the light purple only because it is a softer look; more romantic.

@noritake22: i had that sense too about it being softer looking. then i like the bold of the dark purple only. and i like the contrast of the mix…..

I voted dark purple only, but with the candles lit I like the mix 🙂

thanks everyone, initially i was leaning towards the dark purple only. but i think those comments about the mix is true, it complements both the napkins and candles.

I like the all dark purple…it really pops in photos!

@berkie: i like it too! the dark purple was the first one i set up and thought “this is it, why even bother looking at the others!” but then of course i looked at the others and got confused.

Love the dark purple by itself! It looks bold and romantic. Looks awesome with the candelight as well.
