Hi bees! Once again, I am looking for some input/advice. I've narrowed my dress search to these two dresses. The first is the Marisa 726 (the replica of Melissa Sweet's Lia). The second is Watters Cabo. Please excuse the ghetto self-pics of Cabo in the dressing room... I sneaked those, haha!
My wedding will be outdoors (please see pic).
Our reception is indoors.
Any input would be highly appreciated! Please be brutally honest and help me pick THE ONE! :)
The second one, because I know the Marisa to be HOT to have on -- and you don't want to be too warm if you're outside in June!
They both look lovely :)
The first one is absolutely stunning on you. The second is pretty but doesn't compare.
I like the first one because of it's simplicity and it's completely timeless. The problem I am having with the Watters gown is the top, I don't like the see-through part that lines the top of the sweetheart neckline. It seems a little too busy for my taste, but it still looks gorgeous on you!
I definitely vote for the Marisa.
P.S. I hope I waasn't too harsh, I was just trying to be honest to help you out!
They're both beautiful on you. I vote for Watters (mainly because I love lace!)
You look beautiful in both, but I love the 2nd one more, just because it seems more unique! I feel like I've seen the first dress a lot over the last couple of years (rightfully so, cause it's beautiful!). But, again... seen it a lot!
I love them both but my vote is for #2. It is ethereal and the tulle around the sweetheart neck and the bottom is seriously gorgeous. I am a Watters Bride too with an outdoor wedding! The first one is a little more indoors/formal to me.
Think about your day, what accessories you would want to wear, veil, hair piece...is there anything that is a must? It took me forever to find my dress. I finally chose the one I didn't want to take off.
I voted for the first for fit and based on looks. But, the train is quite long and formal for a breezy outdoor wedding. I have to say the second seems more suited for an outdoor wedding. One look is sleek/modern and the other is romantic/flirty. I think this acutally depends on the tone of your wedding, your personality, and most of all which you can picture walking down the aisle in.
i love the top. i gasped when i saw it, especially that venue omg!!!
Ohhh I am soo glad you tried on the Watters I am thinking about getting it too but I haven't tried it on yet! How did it feel on? It looks great on you.
They both look great on you, but the second one is just a little more unique. I am also a big fan of ruffles. And I think lace would be great for a Spring wedding.
I like the first one best. Not sure which designer that is to vote in the poll.
I adore the first one!!! You look great in either though, you are one of those girls who can't go wrong :)
Hard choice! But I think #2 wasn't as flattering up top, #1 looks stunning (as opposed to 'merely' pretty).
You have a flawless figure and look fabulous in both. If the whole thing was going to be outside, I'd say the second one, but with the indoor aspect, I might lean toward the first one. You're totally going to be fine with either one.
Did one of them speak to you more than the other?
I voted for the second one, mostly because it's just absolutely gorgeous and different. I think it really does depend on the kind of wedding you want to have though.. if you want it to be a little more formal and have more of a princess dress, go with #1! I also didn't vote for #1 because I think I actually tried on that dress or one very similar, and didn't like how I could feel it hitting against a weird point on my thighs when I walked. But.. I'm very weird about things like that so that's probably a non-issue for you :-)
Marisa is way better! The simplicity, and elegance of it is just breathtaking! The second is just a little too much for me. Plus, your bod is totally rockin in the Marisa gown!
the first one is much more my style, but both are pretty! I like the first one better with your venue.
I love the Watters! The floatly layers will be gorgeous as you walk down the aisle outdoors!
I think I like the first one better on you! They're both gorgeous.
You look beautiful in both dresses. I voted for the second one mostly because I thought the photo of your venue had a lovely, romantic kind of feel that goes more with that style, but you will be gorgeous in whichever one you choose.
Good luck!
I voted for the second dress.because it loos romantic and girlie. I like the layers and the way it fits you.
#2!! beautiful, summery, (I love the lace!) doesn't ever look as wrinkled. (But the first is beautiful as well.)
I like the way the first dress fits you, but the second dress is definitely more unique. Is it just me, or does the first one also make her look taller? (hard to tell due to the angles.. hehe)
DDubzz, I think the 2nd one is magical... the first one is a beautifuil dress but I literally gasped and has major dress envy when I saw the 2nd one... The hive seems to be pretty split on this one but I just think the Watters is unbelievably beautiful on you and perfect for your cere mony site!
The Marisa is so elegant! And is really flattering on you. I think you'd look stunning in it at your venue.
They are both BEAUTIFUL on you! You can rock either one. I myself voted for #2 because I like the uniqueness of it. My only problem with it is the neckline.
I like the ethereal feel of the second one!!! It's more unique than the first one and I prefer how the skirt lays on you. But they're both a good choice!
I think the first one is stunning! I like the second one too, but I'd go for the first one :)
Oh wow, the hive seems split on this one! Ahhhhh, I was hoping one would win by a landslide to make my decision easier! :P
I really do love both dresses... that's the problem. And I feel great in both too! *sigh*
@HoneyBunny, the Watters dress is great on... I thought it would be heavy but it's not at all. The tiers are light and "swishy". I hope you can find one in your area to see for yourself. :)
@MrsWoohoo, I am taller in the Marisa one-- I wore 3" heels with that dress, and no shoes with the Watters. ;)
i like the simplicity of the watters. it feels lightweight and natural for an outdoorsy setting. the other one looks like it might be hard to navigate - would you work up a sweat?
I love the first one, but it does seem a little heavy and you might be burning up in it outside. I would go with the 2nd, it looks great on, I love the lace and it seems more suited to an outdoors event. Good luck!
I think both dresses are beautiful and look great on you. However, I will vote for #2. The dress is a little more unique and it just would fit more with your outdoor ceremony. I also love the softness of the tiers on the bottom. As someone mentioned earlier, the first one is a very popular style and used by many brides. But, I don't think you could go wrong with either dress.
