I just saw the answer...sorry.
I downloaded a font and while it's not really fuzzy, I think I see what you mean. It's probably just because it's a cheap free font. Try Veer.com. I've never had an issue with them. They have great fonts too!

I have downloaded a couple of fonts from dafont.com however their quality is not good at all. Is there something else I am supposed to do during the download?
