I watched, and I loved it. I had seriously been counting down the days. Very thankful that I didn't get hooked until season 1 was on Netflix...I would have hated waiting!
I can't wait to see what else is going to happen this season. They seem to be setting it up for a lot of drama! :)
@bpcmarj: i cant wait. :) Who is your favorite character? i relate to Sybil most, but i still like Anna and Matthew.
I haven't seen season 2 opener yet, but I loved, loved. loved season 1. Have you heard about what people are saing about season 2?
@mmsva: i have heard lots of good things about season 2. i loved it. they've got a bigger budget too this season, so i can only imagine all the good things to be seen.
@FutureFoxWife: I've heard bad things about season 2, but the christmas special was awesome.
@mmsva: really? i havent heard 1 bad review! i know that some effects were bad in war scenes, but its PBS not a multi-million dollar film! what have you heard?

@FutureFoxWife: Season 2 and the Xmas special have been shown in the UK already. We won't get the xams special until after sean 2 airs.
They are safe to read, no spoiler other than characters actin annoying or stupid.

I love Downton Abbey! I'm a huge sucker for period movies and series, and I got hooked on Season one on Netflix. After finding out that the entire series 2 is already played in the UK, I searched the internet for streams and just went through it. So good! I love Sybil's character.
@mmsva: that article made me laugh. ive seen worse shows. i believe it's worth a watch! but i will say that you warned me :)

Glad to see that there are other fans out there. I love love love the show and I'm following the write ups here on Slate. The TV critics are so funny and the comments crack me up. You can always catch up online at PBS.org too! I am really loving it. Now that Cousin Matthew cannot fulfil his part of the deal, who does the entail go to? Will Lady Mary marry the rich tycoon? Will Mr. Bates wife keep pulliing the 'wicked witch of the west' routine? Will Edith ever find love? Will O'Brien and Thomas ever grow a heart??? I cannot wait!!!
I came across this show on Netflix last week and then have spent the weekend watching Season 2 on PBS.org which is only available until March 6!!!
It is a brilliantly written show--I can't wait until Season 3 when Cora's Mom (Shirley McLaine) comes to visit Downton!

Anybody watching?I didnt think I would fall in love with it as much as i have. What did you think about season 2 premiere sunday?
Even if you don't give a hoot about WWI or anything, you must watch for the costumes.
it's on PBS at 9pm on sundays. It's fantastic. :)
Whats funny is that i watch that, and then Walking Dead at 10pm. What a great mix.
