we live in the suburbs but we are doing our e pics at jackson park and on the evanston lake front. they are so many beautiful sites in our city!! ask your photographer what they suggest. they should be able to come up with some thing!!
good luck!
I think the buildings in the Financial District on LaSalle are gorgeous. And also the bridge over the river on Kinzie is really popular but is a great view too. But don't dismiss Mill Park as there are some hidden gems in there, besides the Bean!
Make sure you have a rain plan too, just in case! It poured on our wedding day, so we ended up doing portraits in Union Station (and considered the Rookery as another rain alternative).
Lincoln Park Zoo has some great water/foresty areas. I'm a fan of more industrial backdrops, so loading docks and grafitti underpasses could be really cool, too. Oh- and the gardens by the Art Institute are lovely. Question for you! I've been looking at trolley rental and they seem to be pretty expensive- do you think you found a good deal or did you just bite the bullet and pony up what they wanted?
@Pree: I am pretty sure Union Station requires a permit...if memory serves me, I think it's around $200.

Hey ladies-
I am 8 weeks away- and starting to plan the day-of details for the big day! I am filling out a questionnaire for our photographer, and wanted to see where you are planning on taking your pictures with your wedding party and new hubby?
I want to avoid super touristy locations (ie: the Bean) but get a good mix. We took our e-pics in Wicker Park- so open to anything downtown. We also have a trolley to transport us around.
Thanks!
