Hmm, I looked for venues with 150-175, so I'm trying to remember who had the capacity for even larger events. Off the top of my head:
The Reagan International Trade Center
Andrew Mellon Auditorium
DAR Hall
You may need to be flexible with your date, though. October is a busy month still, and a lot of DC venues book up really early. (I booked my venue for 03/16/13 in November 2011).

Hi All,
I'm new to this website, since I just got engaged....with that said, my fiance and I would like a fall (hopefully October) wedding in downtown DC for 250 people. Does anyone have any suggestions? We need to keep the whole thing under 50k, is this possible? Its hard to find venues that hold 225-250 people so any help you can provide would be great! Other than downtown, we'd consider old town alexandria if its too expensive to have a city reception.
