The church is on Ross, do you know what direction the church was (N,S,E,W?) In terms of Lofts dowtown popular ones are the Mercantile (tall building w/ the clock,) The Mosaic, Dallas Power & Light building, the Davis building (where I live 😉 ) geez, there are just so many lofts downtown! Good Luck!

Maybe you can call whoever the wedding was for? *grins sheepishly*

Good luck finding it! I hate it when you have something on the tip of your brain, and can’t get it out!!

I think you are referring to the Ballroom at the Dallas Arts Center, run by Special Day Events.  http://www.specialdayeventsinc.com.

My daughter is having her  wedding reception there this summer.  It is a beautiful place, and Shari Day who runs it is very helpful.

Hope this helps!

Yup, I knew you were thinking the Dallas Arts Center / Special Day Events once you said hardwood floors and windows on three walls. I had my reception there last summer. While I think it’s a gorgeous place, if I could do it all over again I would have picked somewhere else.

The owner was pleasant to work with in the beginning, but from our meeting to go over how everything was to be set up to the wedding day, she was very rude. She even yelled at guests because they didn’t go down the elevator fast enough at the end of the night while we were having our private last dance (someone forgot their heels and she wouldn’t let them back in). Unfortunately, I got some comments from guests afterwards about it, and I hate that the owners of the venue left my guests with something negative to associate with the wedding.

Hopefully you and mebbob do not have the same experience. I just think that with all a couple invests in the day, they should at least have vendors who are pleasant to work with.
