Understandably so, you are freaking out because bonuses aren't very reliable and things could change, but I will def. keep my fingers crossed for you and say a little prayer for you guys..AND that your car won't need anything serious in the forseeable future!

Aww! Atleast you had the money to fix your car! Think of what would have happened if you didn't have that money stashed away! (That's my father in me speaking...wow!)
Oh I hope it all works out okay. We almost had the same thing happen to us (we took my car to one place and they quoted some astronomically high number, like more than my car is worth so we took it to a different place and they were much, much, much more reasonable). Good luck!
I'm so sorry! My car just ate a bunch of my $$ so I can (somewhat) relate. I'm crossing my fingers that his bonuses come through and your account is fat and happy again soon!

My FI just called and sprung some horrible news on me!! He has to pretty much drain our wedding savings (80% of our low-budget wedding) to fix our car. :(. He will probably be able to replenish it with the bonuses he gets this quarter, so everything should be okay, but still... major freak out going on in the appleblossom household tonight!!!! Please say a little prayer for us that things will work out (and I know they always do, why the heck am I freaking out?).
