You are in a great position, then! When I purchased my gown, I was not yet a member of Weddingbee, and I had never even seen SYTTD. It’s great that you’ll have a lot of wonderful information to help you make your choice!

This oft-featured-on-SYTTD, Pnina Tornai gown is my “dream” dress, even though I didn’t know it existed when I purchased my gown.

I also love this Amsale (which I also didn’t see until after I was married.) :

A stunner.. Ines Di Santo, style “Elodie”. Saw this at a bridal expo.

The comet beading on it was just amazing in every light.  Imagine it with an evening candlelit reception!

edit: now that I look at it again, I realize that my dress is actually quite similar to it.. 🙂

I’m having a mermaid style variation of it custom made. White lace over Tiffany blue satin. The dress has been unavailable since 2007 or so (it’s from the 2006 Reem Acra collection), but I have always loved it!

My dream dress would have a trumpet/ fit and flare silhouette, lace, tulle, and crystal beading. And it would have to be in black or at least the lace in black (as per the compromise with my uber traditional mother – I told her she’d have to drug me unconscious to get me in white or off-white lol I get my stubbornness from her Tongue Out)

Something like these gowns by Romona Keveza, Mori Lee, Enzoani and Michael Cinco respectively would make me very happy.

When I was 16 I saw the film Roman Holiday for the first time and knew that when I got married I would wear Princess Ann’s ball gown.

I’m now 27 and after 11 years of pouring over pages and pages and websites of dresses, I still can’t imagine wearing anything else.

I even found a site online which sells replicas of her tiara and jewellery!

@Omgbunnies:  I actually Love that DB one. It is one of my contenders depending upon how much by budget is.

My top three contendars at the moment are:

  1. AnnaLisa from Moncheri 2011 If I can ever find it…

  2. David T for Mon Cheri 113211 2013
  3. My Name sake dress from Mon Cheri 2013
  4. AA 2299. Of course it’s blue + Under 1K

@Sapphire-Dreamer:  *drool* over the last one. The frills and sash just kill me! So pretty. Those DB blue dresses are on clearance and $200, but only in limited sizes. I pray they stay put for another couple months!
