I found my dream wedding venues but they are the WHOLE way across the US in california. I already know that NOONE will come if we have a destination wedding, and it’s upsetting. I can’t find anything to top it!
I found it on this project wedding bio and I can’t stop admiring it.
Everything around here just screams “rustic” to me and it’s not our style. *sigh*
I don’t know what to do because I can’t find something to top it.

Where are you located? There has to be something similar more local to you. How many people and what’s your wedding date?

Go online and look through the listings for your local chamber of commerce, and for the chamber of commerce in your surrounding areas (larger cities near you, etc) and check places through them. I was shocked at how many venues I didn’t even know existed.

@FutureMrsH11:Stop looking at things that are not an option, you are only upsetting yourself. My obsession is not wedding related. I can’t stop looking at million dollar homes and crunching numbers like I can afford it! Don’t do it to yourself. Focus on what you need, and not becoming overwhelmed by unrealistic desires.

To be very blunt- that is just silly. There are beautiful venues everywhere.

@FutureMrsH11: I can sympathise as when FI and I got engaged in NY we went to the Boathouse in Central Park for a drink and fell in love it, which is quite a thing for FI to get excited about anything like that (you how it is ladies). But, we both said it wasn’t an option as we wanted our families there, but I still coo over it.

I agree with Julies. I would have never allowed myself to fall in love with a venue 3,000 miles away if I knew it was something that would never happen. Try searching for venues a few hours away if theres nothing in your area thats up to your standards.
