- Wedding: September 2013 - Pavilion at Rocky Neck State Park
So I have seen posts about dream dresses and rings. So let’s see those dream venues that you either 1. have or 2. wish you could have.
Personally, I would LOVE to have my wedding at Rosecliff (one of the Newport Mansions in R.I.). However, it rents for about $15,000 for a Saturday wedding

I think this venue was about $250 per head! That’s insanely expensive for me.

My dream venue was a mansion. It wasn’t HORRIBLY over my budget, but it was definitely over it.

I would have LOVED this venue, but 1. too expensive & 2. too far to travel… it would be a 2 hour drive for EVERYONE involved, including myself.

I’ve got a couple.
The Castle Post.
I grew up seeing this castle everytime we would travel, but it was always closed down. They recently finished it and have turned it into a B&B. I have no idea what it costs to rent the place, they dont list their prices online. But their rooms are $355 and up for a weekend and their cheapest menue is $45 per person. So going by that, I’m gonna take a guess and say we couldnt afford it with our $6000 budget.
Ray Eden Gardens.
But they start at $2995 and it doesnt include anything, just the venue. Not chairs, tables, nothing. So thats a no.
This might still be doable. We’d a bit overbudget, but not too bad.

I initially wanted a rustic barn wedding. I fell in love with Bella Luna Farms, but the price was over $20,000. Ouch. In the long run, I am glad I nixed the barn idea.

A hotel right on the beach. Contemporary, but not too modern and stark. Panoramic views of the Atlantic from the gathering room, and option to have the ceremony on site

You know where Hayden Christiansen and Natalie Portman got married at the end of Star Wars II Attack of the Clones? I believe that was filmed at a famous location near Lake Como in Italy.
Anyway, my dream venue would be there.
I didn’t even look to price it.

I got married in 2010 and if I didnt get sea sick I would of chosen Sydney Glass Island.
It is a glass boat that anchors in Sydney Harbour and you get married on the top of the boat.

California Academy of Sciences.
$18,500 to rent out the museum. That doesn’t include much else, not even parking!!
