Inspired by the contest over on Manolo for the Brides...what would your dream wedding be if you had no restrictions? No monetary concerns, no etiquette issues, no parents-in-law dictating tradition. You could do anything you'd want.
Personally, my dream wedding would involve a gorgeous outdoor ceremony on the pier in Santa Cruz (where me and the FI met) followed by a reception that has:
Bowling
Arcade games
A photo booth
Ultimate frisbee
Croquet
We'd have a meal catered by the Millennium restaurant in San Francisco (unbelievable vegetarian food!).
I would also love either Weezer and/or the Decemberists to perform. That would make my life complete.
Somehow, everything would also be super eco-friendly. Now I just have to figure out how to make some of this happen!
(It sounds like I'm from CA, but I'm really from MA, go figure!)
me + him running to the courthouse and then hitting the airport for a 3 year worldwide food + sightseeing + relaxation extrvaganza. this is also my plan if we ever happen to win the lottery.
my dream wedding would be a close-family only (50 people or less) summertime affair in the back grounds of a beautiful church near our home. a god-centered faith-filled day with the man god created for me. tons of flowers, at about 1 or 2 in the afternoon. tented reception, with a huge dessert spread and a light plated lunch/dinner combo at about 4. tons of little details, from the colors of the flowers to the place cards to the napkin colors and beyond!! us out by 6 or 7 to a two or three week honeymoon somewhere private and relaxing and coming home to our very own house.
as simple as it sounds i'm much more likely to have a 300-plus buffet wedding in the dead of winter in a hall and a honeymoon spent flipping a house. as long as we get married eventually that's what matters in the end!
