I’m going to get my dream wedding venue: La Sucreie de la Montagne! It’s a sugar shack and historical site in Quebec, Canada! Sugaring off season was one of my favorite times of year as a kid and I loved going to La Sucrerie! It’s also a place my SO and I go every year! It’s tradition for us. 🙂

We want to have a warm, cozy, family-oriented wedding, and it just seemed like the perfect place!

Here are some pictures! Outside, inside and the traditional sugaring off food! [attachment=1578438,197324] [attachment=1578438,197325] [attachment=1578438,197326]

Mine was Laurel Hall–it’s this great old mansion in Indianapolis, but we just couldn’t swing it budget-wise. But seriously…look how pretty it is!

@SoontobeMrsA: I can’t wait to see it set either lmao! Can’t be longer than a few months now 🙂

The castle is also really beautiful! The drawbridge is just awesome haha! Might be a good way to keep unwanted guests away too! 😛

@SoontobeMrsA:Yep, your dream venue is seriously mine as well. i love castles and our wedding is a little medieval themed anyways, so it would be perfect!

@DeathByDesign:  OMG- I swear I was there when I was a kid on my grade 8 trip!  I loved it and it was so much fun!  That’s a great tradition for you both!

Here are places I am dreaming about:

Grand View Lodge, Brainerd, MN

Nanaboujou Lodge: Grand Marais, MN

this is the outside, it’s right on the shore of Lake Superior.

@SoontobeMrsA:honestly in town, there really wasn’t any good options as far as a castle like venue. i’m not sure if we even have one around here. But I did find a beautiful venue. This is a really bad picture but the room we are having it in. It has a fountain and I love those tall windows. It also has a balcony overlooking the room so I’m hoping to take some wonderful pictures of us as husband and wife up there.
