Hi,

I didn’t stay there for my honeymoon, but I stayed there with my family about 3 years ago-WE LOVED IT!  There were definitely more couples (especially honeymooners) than families/singles so I think I would recommend it for a honeymoon.

Here is what I like/suggestions:

Its right on a nice beach, but you can also relax at one of the 2 pools (the infinity, relaxing pool) or the activity pool).

Various food options on site-all pretty good in my opinion, but I would suggest going into town for a few dinners.  My hands down favorite is Cafe Des Artistes if you are looking for a nice, fancy dinner. La Palapa is also great.

The rooms were clean and comfy.  I would stay in the newer part (Junior Suites vs. Tower) of the hotel b/c the rooms have private terraces and are better.  A friend of mine stayed in the Tower part and her room was not as nice.  If you are looking for a super comfy bed, you wont really find that here.  I can say (having been to Mexico quite a few times), the beds are not as comfy as you are probably used to, but by no means horrible.

The resort is fun-there is always something going on including an evening beach cookout, at least once a week.  That said, I did visit quite a few local nightclubs while there as well.

The staff was very nice, helpful.

Offers an all-inclusive option which is worth it!

Nice grounds, pretty hotel and in a good location overall!

Negatives:

While at the beach, expect to be approached by vendors selling various things.  On property though, you will not be hassled at all.

On your way in, bypass the inside of the airport once you get your bags.  The legit taxis, shuttles etc. are outside of the airport, not the corridor between the baggage area and the outdoors.  The various stands are NOT transportation, but rather time share scams.  You don’t want to deal with this on your honeymoon.

To be honest, I can’t think of too much else on the negative side.

I would suggest also checking out trip advisor too!

Good luck!

I’ve also stayed at Dreams PV and LOVED it. I went there with my then-boyfriend (now husband!), and it was fabulous!

Pros:

The rooms were very cute. We got just a standard room, and had no complaints about it.

The staff was SO friendly. They really go out of your way to make sure you’re happy and satisfied.

The food was really good. We weren’t expecting much in the food department, and we were pleasantly surprised. Also, we took adavantage of 24-hour room service a lot- yum!

They have an “adults only” pool that you can swim in if you want to be away from kids for a while. It’s a small pool, but we spend a lot of our time there.

The resort isn’t too far away from other things. We went in to town one day, and did a “swim with dolphins” excursion (which was so fun!) another day, and they were easy trips to make.

Cons:

This isn’t really a “con” IMO, but the beach isn’t great. There are pebbles and seaweed all over, but the staff at Dreams does their best to keep it clean.

I would definitely recommend this resort!

I was also thinking of going to the Dreams PV hotel, let me know what you think of it if you go!
