We had our honeymoon at Dreams Puerto Vallarta, and while we were there, we saw a number of weddings on the property - all were unique and gorgeous. If you look on TripAdvisor.com, there are many reviews by brides/grooms of their weddings at Dreams! Good luck!
Sure thing! Good luck, I really loved the Dreams we stayed at - the food was great and the staff was awesome. We're going back for our anniversary! :)
awesome I know they give you a free anniversay like 2 night stay if you have your wedding and honeymoon there so I will be going back as well!!
I've been to both the Dreams Resorts in Punta Cana. They're very nice.
Keep in mind that Dreams is family friendly. So if you don't have any children attending, I would recommend Secrets instead. The Secrets Resort in Punta Cana is nothing short of amazing.
I will be getting married at the dreams in puerto vallarta in september. I can't wait, I looked at the dominican one as well as cabo. They all look beautiful!
I'm biased as I am getting married at Dreams Palm Beach (in Punta Cana). So I would say go with that one. My TA really suggested palm beach over punta cana she says its a much nicer property.
well I am not getting married till next year so if your weddings are first pleasee let me know your experience... thank you for the help
We just recently arranged a wedding @ the Dreams in Tulum, Mexico, and it was terrific. The food was...well it was some of the best food I've ever had at an all inclusive. Period.
We do cover the Dreams in Punta Cana as well,

I attended a wedding at Dreams Tulum a few months ago and it was fabulous. I have been to a LOT of all inclusive resorts in Mexico and Dreams Tulum was the nicest. The wedding was beautiful, the food was really good (I espeicially loved that no reservations were needed for the a la carte restaurants), and the resort and rooms were beautiful (gotta love a hammock on every patio and free corona's in the mini bar fridge every night).
I will say that it was more expensive than many of the other all inclusives in the area, so if that's a concern for your guests consider it. However, this wedding was really well attended (the couple's friends are lots of late 20s/early 30s DINKS so it was probably a good demographic).
@SoniaB:Are you a TA? Do you think it is better to get a guest group rate through a TA or through the hotel?
I am getting married at Dreams Palm Beach Punta Cana in July. Is anyone other Bees planning a wedding there??
@nycbrde2011: I'm not planning a wedding there, but I got engaged at Dreams Palm Beach in Punta Cana in May and its amazing! On our 10 day vacation we must have seen like 6 weddings and they were all gorgeous!
@MrsWilson2012: Good to hear!!It took us a long time to decide what resort! We have children in our wedding party so it needed to be kid friendly too. What are the rooms like?
@nycbrde2011: The rooms are nice! They are big, we had a nice balcony, the bathroom is all updated with new fixtures. There was a flat screen TV, tons of drawer and closet space, coffee maker. There is a mini fridget with soda, beer and juice. They did an excellent job at cleaning the room and the turn down service while we were at dinner. They have some great restaurants too! My favorite was the hibatichi, but be sure to get there early or there will be a long wait. The lobby bar was the best place to go for drinks. Top shelf liquor and one of the bartenders Christian is amazing, such a fun and nice guy. We had an amazing time! Your wedding is going to be awesome! :)
@MrsWilson2012:Thanks!! We are really excited! From what I have seen everything looks fantastic!
@nycbrde2011: I'm also getting married at dreams palm beach!! My wedding is on July 6th so soon after yours and I'm BRAND new here (actually my first post...hi everyone
) so I think it'll be awesome to see what all the other DR brides are planning!
@Fortune2012: that is so exciting!!! We will be ariving june 28th and leaving on july 5th! We are super excited about it!
Me and Fi have been to Bahamas and Jamaica but never the dominican. We had wanted to go to turks and caicos or back to Bahamas but the DR was more affordable for our guests and family! Where are you having the ceremony?
@nycbrde2011: we wanted to do Turks and caicos too!! That or Aruba but in the end DR was more cost effective for everyone and since we'd already been to DR we picked it instead. FI wants to use the gazebo since its complimentary but part of me wants to do the whole beach ceremony and sand in our toes... I mean if UR gonna get married in semi paradise might as well do it right! so well see if I can convince him!
@Fortune2012:lol my FI wanted the beach but I wanted the garden gazebo. I have been to alot of beach weddings and my thing was there was always people in the swimsuits standing watching the whole time and they end up in pics lol. We are doing the ceremony late in the day about an hour before sunset so we do not die in the heat lol
@nycbrde2011:Lol I Know!! I hate seeing those pics and actually get upset FOR the couple. It's like ugh can you just be a little respectful!!! (vent over
) But yeah I will admit that's one of the biggest reasons why I am leaning towards the gazebo too and I'm usually fine until I see a beautiful pic of a beach wedding set up and i get a little antsy
. Lol
@Fortune2012: yea the beach set ups are beautiful but I also love the look of the garden gazebo. How many guests are you guys expecting?
@nycbrde2011: we wanted a smaller intimate wedding of around 50 but it's been looking like more people are interested in coming then we originally thought. Not really worried too much about too many people since we still have 8 months and we're expecting a lot of drop outs as is common with a destination wedding. Lol
@Fortune2012: Yea I know it is hard to tell how many people will come. We have invited around 75 so far we only have confirmed about 20. But we only sent out our save the dates 5 days ago so we will see!!!
Have you had trouble reaching your planner?? everytime I email them it takes them a week to get back to me??? its becoming concerning...
